Today I’ve got a card on which I’ve combined a few different techniques. I really wanted to use the new Stampin’ Brayer so I started off with a piece of White Cardstock and brayered Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Highland Heather in different directions. For even coverage, make sure you roll the brayer right through when inking it up.
Once I brayered the 3 colours, I die cut a Deckled Circle. On this, I stamped some leaves from the Gorgeously Made stamp set in Tahitian Tide and layered it onto another Deckled Circled die cut from Parakeet Party Cardstock.
The torn floral piece at the bottom was another one of my experimental pieces which I put to use.
To create this look …
Ink up the Layered Florals Embossing Folder on the debossed side (side with Stampin’ Up! logo) with Gorgeous Grape ink. Add a piece of Fresh Freesia Cardstock in the folder and run it through your Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. I tore a piece off and layered it with some additional DSP pieces under the sentiment.
The focal image of flowers are from the Irresistible Blooms bundle which is available as part of our Online Exclusives range. If you live in Australia, you can shop all the products I have used on this card in my Online Store or by getting in touch with me. A full list of supplies are below.
Happy Saturday friends, It’s lovely to be able to share with you my first card using the Rock Star bundle. I’m a fan of all music stamp sets so this particular suite was going to end up with me at some stage. I just got it in last week and I love all the fun options that are available with the stamps, dies, embellishments and the black and white Designer Series Paper. It’s a great guy set and those black and white papers are so versatile.
I followed the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #fms626 . I started by inking up my guitar in Tuxedo Black. Then I wiped back the neck end of the guitar with a paper towel and coloured the stamp with the Starry Sky Stampin’ Write Marker. I added any details that may have come off with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker. Then I stamped and die cut the image. On top of this I stamped a texture image from the Of Art & Texture stamp set. This is part of our Online Exclusives range. I really love how this stamp added just that little bit of colour to the image.
For the background some Shimmery White Embossing Paste was coloured with Starry Sky ink refill before application. The shimmer is so much fun and adds to the rock star look of this card. I applied it fairly thick as I wanted a more uneven, textured look.
I die cut a circle using the Stylish Shapes dies and added some blending through a mask. This was cut in half to form the sketch. The guitar was added on top with a pick die cut from Silver Foil. To complete the card I added a heat embossed sentiment with a little star from the embellishments in the Rock & Roll suite.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely weekend and a long weekend if you are in Melbourne!
Welcome to another Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Challenge. This week we are focussing on Tahitian Tide. Just a fwe days ago I received some new products from the Online Exclusives collection which will be released on 5th March. So I chose to use some of these on today’s card.
I generally like to pair a neutral colour with the featured colour when I’m creating for these monochromatic challenges. Black just seemed a little harsh with the idea I had in mind and I ended up choosing Night of Navy as what I call a ‘support’ colour!
I started off with the 3 squares and stamped the Drizzling Droplets background stamp on the smaller squares. This is one of the new products you can order on the 5th. Against the central embossed square, the small dots brought a touch of softness to the layout.
For my featured image I used the Magnolia Mood bundle. I didn’t quite like the floral image that was attached to the stamped leaves so I just trimmed that out and added a different die cut on top. The Tahitian Tide flower is an outline and I glued this onto Night of Navy Cardstock and fussy cut around it to give me a two-tone flower.
A product list is at the bottom of this post to help you place your order. I will update it on the 5th of March to include the new products.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

What a beautiful colour palette I get to create with today, inspired by the colours at the Global Design Project Challenge #gdp405. I’ve featured the Nested Friends stamps and dies on this card. These products are part of our Online Exclusive products and are exclusively available in our Online Store.
I used the Simply Scored Tool and scored the Basic White Cardstock at 1cm intervals to create the background.
The bird was coloured in with Boho Blue and Wild Wheat Stampin’ Blends. Usually I would have added some lighter colours in there to blend it but as this was a colour challenge I had to find another way. So, I used a Blender Pen to add some Boho Blue ink refill to soften and blend the colour and achieved the look I was going for.
Although a Blender Pen is generally used on watercolour paper, used in small amounts, ensuring there is sufficient drying time, it works fine on Basic White Cardstock.
Frames die cut from Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper bring all the colours together, while a layer cut out from the same paper pack provides a textured Boho Blue matte layer. The Brushed Metallic Dots tone in with the Pebbled Path elements of my card and it’s one of my favourite embellishments.
I hope you have loved this card and find inspiration in what I’ve shared. If you would like more inspiration, make sure you sign up for my newsletter where I share an exclusive tutorial each week along with lots of other project inspiration and tips.
