Hello and welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop. This month we are CASEing a project from the Stampin’ Up! January-April Mini catalogue.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO C.A.S.E.?
There are a couple of variations that I’ve heard. These being Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit. I’ve chosen a project on Page 68 from the Enjoy the Ride suite. I’ll be CASEing the layout of the card on the top right with the sentiment ‘Dad You’re the Coolest’.
You really don’t need Pinterest (ok, maybe you do sometimes!) when you’ve got a Stampin’ Up! catalogue in front of you. There is SO MUCH inspiration to be had. For instance, just in this one card, I could have chosen the colour palette, been inspired by an element such as the roses in the card or the background stamping, gone for a vintage look. Instead I went for my favourite, the sketch.
Here is a closer look at this card which I CASEd ….
……and I just went all girly with butterflies and flowers!
I replaced the stamped panel of bikes with 3 equal panels of Regency Park Designer Series Paper, matte onto 2 layers of Petal Pink Cardstock. A gingham label sits on top of Night of Navy ribbon in keeping with the original card.
A butterfly from the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set coloured with Stampin’ Blends is the focal point in lieu of a jacket. This beautiful stamp set along with the coordinating dies are on our Last Chance sale right now.
The roses from the original card were replaced with some fussy cut flowers and leaves. I also added some die cut leaves from Basic White Cardstock around the butterfly. These were blended with Mint Macaron ink, creating a soft look.

Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne. I’m so glad that you have stopped by to check out my creation for the New at Su Blog Hop. We are CASEing projects from the Annual catalogue using Mini Catalogue products.
CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit a project. I quite often CASE our catalogues as they provide great inspiration for layouts, colour combos and can get me out of a creative block. I’m CASEing the card on the left from Page 35 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue using the Artfully Layered bundle and some additional products from our Mini Catalogue.
I wanted to go with a different colour palette to green for leaves and have chosen Coastal Cabana, Misty Moonlight and Gorgeous Grape for my card.
The leaves were die cut from Shimmery White Cardstock, then I dabbed on the 3 colours randomly over the die cuts with a blending brush. To create a speckled look, the leaves were then spritzed with water. This blended the colours and created such pretty leaves. I think I’ll be doing this again!
More leaves were stamped on the New Horizons Designer Series Paper and then die cut. I then arranged these all on a stamped background to mimic the stamped dots on the original card. A heat embossed sentiment pops against the vibrant colours of the paper.
I created this card on my FB Live last night with some alterations – watch to see me fumble! I show you how to create those watercoloured leaves and give you some tips.
Thank you for dropping by to see my project and I hope you are inspired to CASE our catalogues. Please leave me a comment or ask any questions. I would love to hear from you. Please check out all the beautiful inspiration through our hop for lots of ideas that you can try. Next on our hop is Diane Browning. I’m looking forward to seeing what she has created.

Great to have you here for our Ink. Stamp. Share Blog hop. We are CASEing the Catalogue as our theme this month. Stampin’ Up! catalogues are a source of inspiration and countless times I draw on it for ideas with layouts, techniques, colour combinations and more.
To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit, giving credit to the original creator of the project. My CASE is from page 79 of the Annual Catalogue. This particular page features a stepped-up card from a Beginner project to a project suited to the more Avid crafter.
I chose the What’s Cookin’ Bundle to feature on my card. With cute images and sentiments perfect for adding on cards and your homemade goodies, this is such a fun set.
I embossed the label from the Hippo Dies and then coloured with Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
Wanting a nice deep colour for the border, the Night of Navy Ombre Specialty DSP added the right amount of glimmer for this card. I’ve layered some ribbon on top of it and that velvet Mint Macaron ribbon is just so soft and beautiful. The tiles from the In Good Taste DSP are perfect for this baking inspired card.
Next on our hop is Laura Mackie. Please follow through to see her lovely project. Thank you for stopping by and I hope to see you back very soon.
