Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin Kit is Here

Joy to the World Paper Pumpking Box

From the time it was announced that we were getting the Joy to the World Christmas Paper Pumpkin kit in Australia, I was really looking forward to it. Paper Pumpkin is a subscription based kit available only in North America and parts of Canada so it’s really exciting that this is the second Paper Pumpkin kit we can order this year in Australia. The first one was the fun, Share Sunshine box.

The Joy to the World Kit has been designed to unite the Stampin’ Up! global community. Not only will this kit help you really get a head start on Christmas crafting, you will get to create Christmas cards, share project ideas, and spread the cheer of the season with Paper Pumpkin customers and demonstrators around the world!

To make the most of this magical kit, join the Joy of Paper Pumpkin Facebook group to meet and connect with crafters in other countries and exchange cards with sentiments in English, French and German which are included in your Paper Pumpkin kit.

Joy of Sets October Blog Hop – Same Stamp 3 Ways

Hi Friends,

I’m very excited to be taking part for the first time in The Joy of Sets Blog Hop and it’s a big one to start off with! We are featuring one stamp set 3 ways. I had to put my thinking cap on for this as I wanted to coordinate my projects yet have them different.

The Joy of Sets - One Stamp 3 Ways

I couldn’t go past the very cute Snowman Season stamp set with it’s 3 very cute snowmen, making it ideal for 3 cute projects.

Snowman Season Stamp Sets

All 3 projects coordinate with a common colour of Balmy Blue and a distessed look. My first card has been embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.

Snowman Stamp set used 3 ways to create vintage Christmas projects

Then I added Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Soft Suede and Early Espresso using sponged and sponge daubers over the embossing leaving sections of white. Balmy Blue ink was sponged on next. I have also added Embossing Paste for added texture. The Snowfall Accents Puff Paint is so much fun to work with. It’s runny when you apply it and then heat it up with a heat gun and it puffs up – magic! The sentiment is from the Wrapped in Plaid stamp set and has also been embossed and had the edges distressed with Sahara Sand ink.

Coordinated Christmas Products using Snowman Season Stamp set

I’ve incorporated the snowman punch to create this fun tag and used various elements from the Let it Snow Embellishment Kit to dress him up.

My next card uses the fun snow globe shaker domes. These create such interactive projects and are so much fun for the receiver as well. The little snowman has been stamped and fussy cut and set on a scene created with the Still Scenes Dies.

Create a Quick Set of Perfectly Plaid Cards

I’ve got some cards to show you today with the Wrapped in Plaid suite which is probably my favourite suite in the catalogue. What I love is the traditional  colours and the simplicity of the punch. My cards use the same simple layout and are very quick to create.

Create 3 cards with a simple layout for Christmas. Great for stamp a stacks

I used the Pine Tree Punch from the Perfectly Plaid bundle (Item #151143) to punch out the trees from the Designer Series Paper. These were then mounted with Dimensionals onto a 2″ circle from matching cardstock (colours I have used here are Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce). Then I added a 2 1/4″ Gold Foil circle.

I stamped the sentiment in the coordinating ink on Whisper White cardstock 14.2 cm x 9.9 cm. The strip of Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper (Item #149596) has been cut to 14.8 cm x 5.2 cm.

These cards took me minutes to make and would be great to mass produce. The addition of the Gold Foil adds an extra festive feel to match with the gold on the DSP.
