Monochromatic Night of Navy – Country Flowers

Today’s Monochromatic Insta Hop with the Crafty Collaborations team is focussing on Night of Navy. My first instinct was to create a masculine project and then I had a shift in thinking and chose the Country Flowers bundle.

I cut 4 panels of Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper and added it to Basic White Cardstock, with a second layer behind it.

Then I added a strip of Take to the Sky DSP matte onto White Cardstock across the base layers. I felt this check pattern pulled the design together with it’s simple pattern.

The pot was watercoloured with Night of Navy and Gray Granite ink refills. I added some extra detail with the Night of Navy Watercolour Pencil. In the centre of the die cut flowers I added some light shading with the Night of Navy Watercolour Pencil and topped it with an Opal Round.

A pretty tag from the Greetings of the Season dies hangs off the edge of the pot with some Gray Granite Baker’s Twine to ‘tie’ it onto the pot.

Monochromatic Crumb Cake – Birthday Sparkle

This week, for the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop we are creating projects with Crumb Cake. Part of our Neutrals Collection, Crumb Cake is well used in my craft room. Coordinating with a range of colours, you can grunge it up or make it a bit vintage for alternate looks.

When it’s such an open theme, it’s hard to pick one stamp set to work with. I was inspired by the ‘cake’ in Crumb Cake and opted for a birthday card featuring the cake from the Attention Shoppers bundle.

I then opened the Birthday Sparkle Kit which I’d had for a while and thought some of those elements would work really well for my celebratory card. The tag includes some beautiful gold embossing which added a lovely background for my chocolate cake which was coloured with Stampin’ Blends.

The balloon images were from the stamp set in the kit and were stamped in Crumb Cake on one of the included pieces of patterned paper. In this kit you get some die cut balloons and I used the negative to blend Crumb Cake ink over the stamped image, fussy cutting around the image that formed.

The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso on a piece of White Cardstock blended with Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.

Thank you for stopping by my blog here in Melbourne and I hope this inspires you to try out our kits and find something that suits your style of crafting.

Monochromatic Old Olive – Christmas Baubles

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Challenge this week where we are featuring an old favourite – Old Olive. As it was July and with this green, I went on a Christmas in July theme, creating some baubles for my card today.

I die cut 3 circles from the Latte Love dies and blended Old Olive ink on each of them. Wanting to create a rustic look,I added some White heat embossed images, changing the images on each of the baubles. For the top of the bauble, I used the paper trimmer die from the Crafting with You dies. Cutting off just the little edge of trimmer was the perfect size to top the baubles off.

A piece of Country Woods Designer Series Paper adds to the natural look I wanted on this card.

As it was Christmas, this card needed some glimmer so I added a large leaf die cut from Old Olive Glimmer Paper. Using the Thoughtful Wishes dies again, I cut out some smaller leaves, blending White Cardstock with Crumb Cake ink for a soft colouring that blended well with the wood DSP.

For an added visual contrast, I added leaves from the Painted Lavender dies, cut out from White Cardstock. These white accents create a sense of snow and I just love how these colours came ogether for this monochromatic Christmas card.

Monochromatic Pecan Pie – Nature’s Sweetness

Pecan Pie is such a beautiful neutral colour which is this week’s featured colour for the Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop. The Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper fit perfectly for this challenge with Pecan Pie a predominant colour on many sheets.

I started by fussy cutting an image from the DSP, adding it to a couple of die cut circles from the Spotlight on Nature Dies.

I added these elements onto a a floral strip of the Nature’s Sweetness DSP. This was layered onto some Wood Textured Specialty Paper which can be found on Page 100 of the Annual Catalogue. On the card base I’ve added a matte of another sheet from the Nature’s Sweetness DSP which has a lovely distressed check pattern.

Around the floral image I added some fussy cut gold leaves from the DSP (again) and punched out boughs from the A Little Latte DSP. I love our DSP and how easy it is to add texture and layers with the coordination that Stampin’ Up! provide.

As a finishing touch, I coloured in the fussy cut image with the Pecan Pie and Ivory Stampin’ Blends, For a variation in colour and texture, I also added some colour with Pecan Pie ink refill using a Blender Pen.

I hope you have been inspired by this project to create something today. You can find a product list below which you can shop for in my Online Store. I appreciate your support of my business and encouraging me as I share my love of creating with you.

Monochromatic Real Red – So Very Merry Tag Card

Happy Saturday friends, Welcome to this week’s Crafty Collaboration Monochromatic challenge. With Real Red as our colour of the week, I couldn’t resist creating a Christmas card. How early is too early to get a start on those Christmas cards?

Crafty Collaborations, Monochromatic Insta Hop, Real Red

I used the So Very Merry stamp set and heat embossed the image in gold. This was coloured with Real Red and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I fussy cut around the Santa and added him to a tag which had been die cut from the Merriest Trees dies.

The tag was stamped with the Drizzling Droplets background stamp and I added a layer of Real Red Cardstock which had been embossed with the Snowflake Sky folder.

The pine leaves are from the Winterly Tree Tops bundle which will be available in our September – December Mini Catalogue. I added some gold ribbon, a heat embossed sentiment and embellishments to bring in an extra festive look to this card.

You can purchase these products from my Online Store. Use the list below to help you with your selection.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired by what I have shared. Maybe you will start on some of your Christmas projects!
