Hello friends, Welcome to CASEing the Catty Challenge CTC479. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit and this week we are CASEing the Mediterranean Blooms Suite from Page 34 of the Annual Catalogue.
I’m CASEing the card on the top right with the frame and the 2 features of lemons on either corner. I’ve swapped out the lemons for the flowers from the Enduring Beauty Stamp Set. This stamp set comes with a set of dies and masks. For my card, I coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends wanting to create a riot of bright colourful flowers (trying to combat our cold winter!).
I used the same background frame from the Citrus Blooms dies, die cutting the image out 3 times and layering to create depth in the frame. As this was an intricate die I adhered an Adhesive Sheet to the back of Basic White Cardstock prior to cutting the die cuts which made this a much easier task.
I then die cut my floral image with the outer frame so it kept the same shape as the frame, adding some extra flowers and leaves for depth. This was a new technique for me and I really enjoyed it. Hope you give it a try.
I used the outer part of the frame to die cut the Full of Life Designer Series Paper and adhered the layered white frame onto it. On the card base I added a matte layer of embossed Berry Burst cardstock which was blended with Berry Burst ink for a deeper shade adding shadow and depth.
A simple sentiment completes my card along with some shiny sequins.

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Challenge CTC476. Today our team are CASEing one of the sketches from Page 68 of the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and ironically it’s from the ‘Sketched’ Butterflies bundle.
I love sketches and they are my go-to as I start a project. There’s so many ways to interpret it and I’m looking forward to seeing what our team creates using this sketch.
I used the partial die cutting technique to replicate this sketch. I stamped and die cut the image from the Enduring Beauty stamp set. Placing only the section of the image that I wanted to cut out in the sandwich of the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, the other half of the image remains in tact.
Under this I layered a piece of Summer Splash Cardstock which gave a nice shadow effect for the sketch.
Instead of a banner I stamped the sentiment from the Everyday Greetings stamp set, directly onto the Cardstock. This stamp set will be available as part of our new Online Exclusives release on the 5thof July. With loads of sentiments in beautiful fonts, this is one you will want to add to your collection.
On the base, I added some Summer Splash Designer Series Paper from our 2024-2026 In-Color paper pack. On top of this, a piece of White Cardstock embossed with the Cute Crochet embossing folder adds subtle texture.
To complete the card I added some Opal Rounds coloured with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend and my favourite – Linen Thread.

Welcome to the Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. For CTC470 we are CASEing the colours of the Frames & Flowers Designer Seriees Paper. This specialty paper pack is a 12″ x 12″ pack with 3 sheets of double sided paper and 3 sheets of paper with die-cut greenery elements.
There are several colours in this DSP, so picking a combination was fun. These are the colours in the images – Early Espresso, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam.
Here’s what I ended up with.
I used the Enduring Beauty stamp set, masks and dies to create a focal image. The flowers were blended in Lost Lagoon. For the extra detail I added more colour to create a deeper shade.
The leaves were blended in Soft Sea Foam with a little bit of Garden Green at the bottom. The veins of the leaves were detailed with a touch of Shaded Spruce.
I used a strip of the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper for the small panel on the right. This was embossed with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. On this I added some Pretty Peacock ink with a sponge dauber.
In my stash, I had a panel of Fluid 100 Cardstock which I had painted with Tuxedo Black ink refill using a Water Painter. I cut a thin strip of this and adhered it to some Basic White Cardstock. From this I die cut a label on which the sentiment was stamped.
I added a bird from the Something for Everything Ephemera Pack which I coloured with my Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. To complete the card I included some Petal Pink Foiled Gems. So, I ended up using 6 of the colours!
Next on our hop is Peta Stephen. Please follow through our hop for lots of amazing projects.
