Some images of Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper coordinate with our cutting tools. A couple of days back I showed you how to use your DSP with punches. Part 9 of my Fun Ways with Designer Series Paper shows you how to use your dies with your DSP to simplify your creative process.
Die Cut it
I’ve used one of the leaf dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies to die cut the Forever Greenery DSP. These have been layered on top of more layers of this beautiful paper and some of the special Gold Laser Cut paper to create this card. Although it looks like it would take some time to make, it was really simple as the only stamping on it is the sentiment. I really let the Designer Series Paper do the work for me.
This cheerful Christmas card uses the Trimming the Town DSP on it’s several layers. The house and the trees have been die cut from the Designer Series Paper.
I’ve added a stamped sentiment along with other elements from the Trimming the Town Suite. Using coordinating products from one suite makes creating cards so easy as Stampin’ Up! have already done the hard work of colour matching and product coordination for us crafters.
Designer Series Paper featured on my projects today are available at a 15% discount until 31st October. Don’t miss out on the chance to save on these beautiful papers .

Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne, Australia. Today, our Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop team are sharing with you a glimpse into the world around us. We could be inspired by nature, colour, home decor, cushions, pets … anything in our lives right now.
My inspiration today is from my front garden. Whenever someone in the neighbourhood (we live in a small town) asks where we live, I’ll say ‘the house with the huge palm tree in the front yard’. Well, it’s actually 2 palm trees that have merged into one. Don’t say a word, we did not plant it like this. It came when we bought the house and now it’s bigger than Ben Hur! So here’s a bit of a glimpse at it.
The large tree trunk with the look of a giant pineapple inspired me to create these leaves using the In the Tropics dies. I also added the cross-section of the tree trunk from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in keeping with my tree theme.
I wanted to recreate some stripes, similar to the Forever Greenery DSP but I wanted to use pink because my favourite colour is pink. So I chose a combination of Rococo Rose, Blushing Bride, Just Jade and Pear Pizzazz with 2 different sizes of Water Painters and painted the lines using a ruler as a guide.
A splatter of Champagne Mist using the lid of the Water Painter adds a bit of glimmer to this card.
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my part of the world. Next on our hop is Cazz Boylan. Please click on the Next Blog button to follow through to her blog and keep going for lots of creative inspiration.

Hi,
Welcome to Stamping Flair on this Saturday morning. It’s a weekend like no other here in Melbourne, where we are in lock down but us crafters need not fear boredom. We have supplies and unfinished projects to last a lifetime! I hope you are all keeping well and in good spirits. You are in the right place to get you into creative mode.
Today I’m hopping with my friends from the Stamp ‘N Hop team and we are showcasing our favourite bundle. Now this one was a tough choice as there are so many beautiful bundles available in the Annual Catalogue as well as the Mini Holiday Catalogue.
I chose the Forever Fern bundle for it’s versatility to offer quick and simple cards which look really beautiful. This bundle is perfect for the beginner stamper as it offers the capacity to step-up your projects as you become more comfortable with stamping. For the Advanced crafter, the coordinating dies offer you additional leaves and elements to add more pizzazz to your projects.

I added the beautiful Gold Laser cut paper which is part of the Forever Greenery Suite. A poppy from the Painted Poppies stamp set, coloured in Flirty Flamingo, adds a soft contrast to the shades of green on this card. Die cut leaves in Sahara Sand and Soft Sea Foam coordinate with that beautiful Designer Series Paper.

Join me this afternoon on my Facebook Live where I’ll show you how to create this card and give you some fun tips and techniques. All the products I have used on this card are listed at the bottom of this post. Thank you for visiting me today. I hope you have enjoyed my project and I would love for you to leave me a comment.
Follow the hop right through for lots of fun ideas for use with a variety of bundles. Next on our hop is Caroline Peck’s. Click on the Next button to go through to her blog and see her lovely project.

Jul 12, 2020 | Blog Hops, Christmas |

Hello and welcome to my blog Stamping Flair in Melbourne, Australia. Time for our Joy of Sets monthly blog hop and we are inspiring you with some Christmas in July projects.
Generally, I would have had an in-person cardmaking event at home for Christmas in July but Melbourne is back in a Stage 3 lock down so it’s not to be. So this blog hop gave me the opportunity to create my very first Christmas card for the year. Christmas is only 5 months away so it’s never too early to start on our cardmaking. So make sure you go through our hop for lots of inspiration to get a headstart on your festive projects.

I used the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper and Flowers for Every Season Memories & More card pack by Stampin’ Up! I covered the card base with Designer Series Paper then added a die cut panel of Whisper White cardstock which I stamped with the Buffalo Check background stamp. This has always been one of my favourite stamps and I thought it worked well on this card.
The poinsettia is from the Four Season Floral stamp set which is in the Beginner Catalogue and it has 4 flowers and 3 sentiments in the set, giving you several options. I coloured the poinsettia with Stampin’ Blends before fussy cutting it.

The Forever Gold Laser Cut paper provides a beautiful backing for my stamped and die cut images and sentiment. The boughs were die cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock and sponged on the edges with Just Jade ink to give a two-tone effect. The sentiment has been stamped on one of the Memories & More cards to tone in with the Just Jade shades.
I then layered all the elements and a punched tag on top of a square doily which I sponged with Just Jade ink.

You are currently visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith in Australia. I hope you have enjoyed the card I have shared with you today and are inspired to start working on your Christmas projects. I would love to hear what you think of my project so please leave me a comment.
