Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop – Garden Wishes

Hello and welcome to our Ink. Stamp. Share monthly blog hop. Our theme this month is Spring/Summer Sale-A-Bration and I chose the Garden Wishes stamp set for a floral take on this theme.

I wanted to show a softer card using the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. For the design of this card, I began by choosing my colour palette. I started off by picking Misty Moonlight which was a colour in the DSP. I do this quite often as it gives me a starting point to pick my coordinating colours. Plus with our amazing colour coordinated products it’s just easy to match cardstock and embellishments.

I watercoloured a panel of Shimmery White Cardstock with Pool Party and Misty Moonlight as a backdrop for the dandelion. Watercolouring is a great technique for achieving a soft look to your projects. Then I added some extra leaves die cut from Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Some extra colour was added with Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. The edges of the flower and leaves were sponged with Soft Suede giving some warmth to the stark white edges.

Some Bumblebee Gingham Trim ties in with the dandelion and I’ve added a cute Ladybug Trinket to embellish the card. Isn’t it cute?

I hope my project inspires you to use your Designer Series Paper with alternate colour palettes and have fun creating! Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment. I’d love to hear from you.

Ink. Stamp. Share – New Year’s Eve Blog Hop

Happy New Year! Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne and we have hit 2021. Who’s excited for all the promise this year brings. Our special Ink. Stamp. Share Showcase Blog Hop is featuring beautiful products from the 2021 January-June Mini Catalogue.

I’ve used several of the brand new products to create this cute card. The Hey Gorgeous stamp set has fun images of ladies with catchy sentiments. I coloured this image with Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut it out.

I then laid it on a piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock which has been die cut with the new Stitched with Whimsy Dies. These nested dies create the beautiful stitched pattern in square and rectangle shapes. I then die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. One of the die cuts from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper adds some lovely detailed leaves as a backdrop to the stamped image.

My Night of Navy card base is covered with the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper. This is a free product you can earn for every $90 you spend during Sale-A-Bration which runs from 5th January – 28th February. There is a lovely selection of products you can get for free.

The flower was created using the Strawberry Builder Punch. I punched out 8 strawberries from the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper. I used 5 petals on the bottom layer and 3 on the top using liquid glue to attach them together. A Stampin’ Dimensional was added between the layers. The edge of each ‘petal’ was sponged with Rococo Rose ink and the petals were curled with a bone folder.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today .I hope you have enjoyed this card and perhaps add some items on your Wish List.

Next on our hop is the lovely Tracie St. Louis. Click the Next button to see her beautiful project.

Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop – Christmas Tree Decorations

ink stamp share header

Hi friend, Welcome to the November Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop. I’m so glad I’ve got this blog hop as I’ve been in a bit of a crafting rut this past week and this has forced me to get on the job! It’s a little bit different today as we are sharing handmade Christmas tree decorations with you. Being in a craft rut and trying to come up with something different was a challenge.

Gold hoops were going to be my featured product and my decorations evolved from this. This was then combined with the beautiful Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper to create these cute ornaments which could also double up as gift tags.

Each one has an embossed panel and I’ve used various punches and dies for the main image. The hoops were added with glue dots.

I love the layered ribbons with the lace trim adding a vintage look to these charming ornaments. I think I’ll be making a few more of these to gift to some work colleagues as I really enjoyed making them and they were really easy to make.

If you would like to give these decorations a try, I’ve got a complete list of products at the end of this post.

Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop – Gilded Autumn

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop for October. Our theme this month is Autumn or Halloween. I have chosen the beautiful Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP to showcase autumn today.

My card started off with my concept of wanting to use the curtain fold on my card. Over this past week, I’ve been showcasing a series called Fun Ways with Designer Series Paper on my blog. Throughout this series, I’ve been sharing ideas and tips for making the most of your DSP.

The curtain fold is great because it shows both sides of our beautiful Designer Series Paper. Particularly with specialty paper such as this, it’s a shame not to be able to see both sides.

I folded the paper at 3cm, 4.5cm, 7.5cm, 9cm, 12cm and so on continuing on a length of DSP which was 26cm long. This gave me sufficient to go across my cardstock. I made a mark with a pencil at 4.5cm from the top on the right side and 2.5cm from the bottom left. Then I cut my paper across at these 2 points. Mountain and valley fold your score lines to form the curtain fold.

I added a pumpkin from the Harvest Hellos which I coloured with Stampin’ Blends. This stamp set also has an apple in the set which coordinates with the matching Apple Builder punch. A few extra leaves were added, including some Brushed Metallic leaves.

This beautiful paper is a must have as it’s copper and gold foil accents adds a richness which enhances the autumn colours of this suite.

Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop – Whale of a Time

Hi friend,

Welcome to the Ink, Stamp, Share Blog Hop for September. We’ve got a Colour Combination challenge from which we had to use at least 3 of the following 5 colours.

As soon as I saw this colour combination, I knew it would make a perfect ‘under the sea’ image. I used the beautiful Seabed Embossing Folder to create a beautiful background for my card.

I sponged Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Pretty Peacock over the embossing which created this pretty shaded background.

The waves were cut out from a sheet of DSP and and I added a turtle coloured with Stampin’ Blends on top to complete the card.

I give my team fortnightly Creative Challenges and I gave them a photo inspiration which I just had to share with you. This was picked prior to me sitting down to working on this blog hop. Can you see how similar these colours are to our blog hop colour challenge? I think I’ve just created my card for our team challenge!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. You are visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith in Melbourne, Australia. I hope you have been inspired by my project and maybe you’ll give this colour combination a try. Click on the ‘Next’ button to go to Alison Carter’s blog and make sure you follow the hop through to be inspired by lots of beautiful projects.
