Hi,
Welcome to my blog Stamping Flair. I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in Melbourne, Australia and I’m hopping with my friends from the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop today. We are highlighting products from the Mini Holiday Catalogue and with such a variety of products on offer, I’m sure you are going to be inspired by the variety of projects and styles that will be displayed.
I have used the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack with the coordinating DSP on my set of cards. I tend to fussy cut my Memories & More cards and alter them to create more options. For this first card, I fussy cut this lovely large sentiment and also cut apart the holly. I went around the leaves with the brush tip of my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to take away the stark white edge. The way to do this is to hold the image at an angle and do the same with the marker so you are just painting the edges. I also used the marker to colour in the tail of the ‘Y’ in Merry.
I added a flourish, which I cut apart, from the Christmas Layers Dies. This was cut out from one of the specialty cards. Then I added the holly leaves on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
I felt this was quite a regal card and I wanted to make it more ‘homely’. Adding some torn DSP softened the look of it, giving it more warmth.
This next card is so quick to make. I just trimmed one of the larger cards down and layered it on a Basic Black Matte. I wrapped some of the beautiful gold cord from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon combo around it. Then I added some Wonderful gems which come in a pack of Red and Gold. They’ve got a lovely, sparkly look to them and the gold one especially, looks like it is clear with gold fleck inside it.
My last card in this set has another lovely banner sentiment fussy cut and layered on DSP. The small tag banner uses the die cut from the Tasteful Labels dies. I added reindeer from the sticker sheet in the Memories & More card pack, mounting it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
So what did you notice that was common in all these cards – apart from product? There was not one bit of stamping! Sometimes it just works out that way. Priced at $21, these Memories & More cards give you some much scope for creativity. I hope I have inspired you to create with The Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card pack. Use it with products from the Wonder of the Season Suite or mix it up with any of our other beautiful products and have fun. Please leave a comment for me with your thoughts on these cards.

Hi,
Great to have you stop by my blog, Stamping Flair today. Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share blog hop for July where we are sharing projects focusing on projects other than birthdays.
I picked something a little bit different as I thought of students who would be finishing the school year in a few months. Generally, this would involve some travel but that’s not to be at the moment. However, I created a card with ‘Bon Voyage’ theme for a traveller using the World of Good suite.
My card started with the beautiful Designer Series Paper as the base for my layout. The Brass Foil detail and the vintage look just adds so much character to projects. Next I die cut the globe from Sahara Sand cardstock, leaving all the pieces in place. I used double sided tape at the back to hold it all together.
A label from the Hippo & Friends Dies embossed with one of the dies from the World Map dies adds more texture. To create the feather I inked the stamp with Seaside Spray and sponged the edges with Misty Moonlight. Then I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock. This gives a lovely water colour look. Instead of using the die to cut it out, I fussy cut it, feathering the edges using my Paper Snips.
I think the Campology stamp set coordinates well the Beautiful World stamp set with it’s outdoor elements and the binoculars were just what I needed for this card. Now camping is definitely not me but I just love this stamp set. Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends was used to colour the binoculars and then I fussy cut them out.
I hope you have enjoyed my card using these outdoor style stamp sets. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you liked. Follow the blog hop through for more great inspiration for all the various occasions in your lives. Click on the Next button to see Laura Mackie’s beautiful project.

Hello,
How exciting to share this time with you as I get to show you a sneaky peek at some products from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue which becomes available to customers on the 3rd of June. Welcome to my blog and I really hope you enjoy the project I have for you today.
Selecting products to showcase is always a bit hard when it comes to a new catalogue. Only because I want to showcase everything but I made my choice today purely on the beautiful texture in the In Good Taste suite. The Designer Series Paper has background images of wood texture, brick, tiles and more. It’s just so beautiful and lovely to work with.
I started off by stamping the background tiles in Rococo Rose and the stems in Gray Granite, Then I added Versamark through a mask to the top section of my card. This was heat embossed in Clear Embossing Powder. Using sponge daubers, I added colour over the embossing in Rococo Rose and Gray Granite.
I coloured the flower with a combination of Rococo Rose, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. When you combine Stampin’ Blend colours it adds even greater depth to the image. The combination of Gray Granite, Rococo Rose and all the texture really worked so well. Colour coordination is easy – just look at the paper and be inspired.
The In Good Taste Elements add that natural wood look to create even more texture on this card.
You are currently visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith in Australia. I hope your interest has been piqued and the In Good Taste suite is already on your Wish List! Please leave me a comment if you have enjoyed this card.

Apr 25, 2020 | Birthday, Blog Hops, Challenges |
Hi friend,
Welcome to Stamping Flair on this ANZAC day. We have freedom because of the sacrifice made by so many. On ANZAC day 34 years ago, I migrated to Australia from Sri Lanka and I truly am blessed to be in this country.
I’m taking part in the Ink. Stamp. Share blog hop with a colour challenge. I kept looking at these colours to work out what I was going to create.
The more I looked, it just reminded me of spring and Easter and I couldn’t do an Easter card as that was past and spring, well, it’s getting a bit chilly here! However, my favourite In-Colour from last year was there – Rococo Rose. I picked my stamp set to work with first and then built my card around it.
I started off by stamping the birds in Stazon ink on Shimmery White cardstock and watercoloured the image using Rococo Rose, So Saffron and Granny Apple Green ink refills. The panel behind has been watercoloured with Highland Heather. Then I coloured the flowers with the Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker as I wanted it to be a little bit brighter.
I wanted a strip of black and white Designer Series Paper under my image. My favourite Botanical Prints Medley had sold out and I wanted to use products that were available so I created my own DSP. I stamped a strip of Whisper White cardstock with the leaves from Very Versailles stamp set to create a custom black/white paper. (Note: Don’t delay getting your favourite items on the retiring list as they do tend to sell out).
I layered Best Dressed DSP and one of the die cuts from the Peaceful Poppies Elements to create the border.
Tip
If elements that are hidden behind images don’t fit across your project, cut them up and adhere the 2 halves to fit on each side. This is what I did with the black Peaceful Poppies die cut border. It was a very short strip but I ‘extended’ it by cutting it in half to just show on the two ends.
My card has been inspired by the sketch challenge Just Add Ink and All About Occasions Challenge at WaterCooler Wednesday Challenges.
I hope you have been inspired with the project I have shared. Colour challenges do get you thinking! I’d love to hear from you so please leave me a comment. All the products used to create this card are listed at the bottom of this post so you can create this card at home.

Mar 29, 2020 | Birthday, Masculine |
Hi Stampers,
Thank you for stopping by Stamping Flair today to see what I have created for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop. It’s all about the boys – from the kids to the grown up boys we are sharing lots of fun filled projects to help you with creating some great masculine themed projects.
I’ve got a card and a coordinating gift tag to share with you today using the Sale-A-Bration, Well Dressed, stamp set. In Australia, for every $90 you spend, you can earn a free product.
The Well Dressed stamp set is ideal for masculine cards and on these projects I combined it with the Country Club Designer Series Paper. I chose a colour palette of Night of Navy, Basic Gray, Call me Clover and Poppy Parade.
The Stamparatus was useful in getting those shoes aligned as a border. I used the sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set. This has become a favourite stamp set as I really love the reverse stamping of the sentiments. It also has some great texture stamps.
After making this card I thought it would be nice to have a gift tag ready to go as well. So I’m all set for the next male birthday that comes around.
You are currently visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith at Stamping Flair. I hope I have inspired you with what I have shared. All the products I have used are listed at the end of this post. I’d love to hear from you so please leave a comment.
