When you want a quick card, you can’t go past the Memories & More card packs. I’ve use parts of the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack to create this card which would be suitable for a wedding or engagement. The magnolia is part of the Magnolia Blooms stamp set which is retiring. I really love the font of this stamp set and the sentiments are ones that you will use over and over again.
For my card today, I chose sentiments from the sticker sheets which are included in the Memories & More card pack. These were layered onto the Designer Series Paper for the inside. As I was making this card, my memory was jogged as to who exactly I was going to give it to. One of my work colleagues just got engaged so this will be going to him when I return to work tomorrow. I love that this card will not see the darkness of a storage box in my home! Have you got some of them too? Instead it’s going to bring a smile to my friend’s face.
The sentiment on the outside has been layered onto one of the cards in the pack, from which I cut a piece to fit. The doily was coloured in Basic Gray ink to match with rest of the card.

Hi Friends,
Happy middle of the week! Wednesdays are great days aren’t they? Second half of the week means the weekend looms near. It’s extra nice because I get Wednesdays off from my regular job in a school so more time to craft.
Today I’m thrilled to be part of the Ink & Share Scrapbook Blog Hop. I am a cardmaker most of the time and I jumped at the opportunity to participate in this blog hop as it just stretches my creativity and made me think big (scrapbook page size)!
I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator from a small coastal town of Blind Bight in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The beach is a short 5 minute walk from our home and it’s a lovely quiet area away from the busy suburbs. So when I found out the theme for this month’s hop was ‘Summer’ my first thought was Coastal Cabana for the beach and that’s how my page unfolded.
The next product that I really wanted to incorporate was the striped So Saffron cardstock from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack. The yellow signifying sunshine and bright days.
Summer evoked memories of my childhood in Sri Lanka with palm trees and bright flowers. The Tropical Chic stamp set had the perfect images for this.
The flowers have been stamped in Memento ink on Shimmery White cardstock. Then I sprinkled Pigment Sprinkles on a clear stamping block and used an aqua painter to colour them in. The effect is so pretty and the colours are intense. A little goes a long way. The sentiments are also from the Memories & More card pack and I’ve layered them to create depth and interest.

This beautiful card has been created using products from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack. You will find this on Page 171 of your Annual Catalogue. This pack includes 50 double sided cards in different sizes, vellum specialty cards and 4 sticker sheets.
This is a very unusual card for me in that it involved zero stamping.
I started by die cutting the bottom border of my card base with that beautiful border die. I ran it through a couple of times to make sure it cut through the front and back of the card. Then I cut the So Saffron striped card to fit my card base and die cut the bottom of that so it layered on top. The ribbon was added with Tear & Tape adhesive and then glued to the base.
I die cut one of the Stitched Rectangles and mounted the circles on top using liquid glue. The circles have been punched from another 2 cards that came in this pack. I offset them to give it interest and added the magnolia sticker with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment sticker was inserted under the magnolia and really stands out against the Basic Black die cut.
Further detail was added to the ribbon by tying a bow and securing with a glue dot. The pennant and leaves are also part of the stickers that come in the Magnolia Lane Memories & More Card Pack.

The Magnolia Lane Suite is such a pretty suite which has so many coordinating products to make your crafting experience easy. It comprises of a stamp set with several sentiments and images including the huge magnolia. There are dies to cut out these images and also some that cut out images from the coordinating Designer Series Paper. Ribbon, twine, Stampin’ Blends also make up this suite.
My card uses the Large Specialty Memories & More Cards & Envelopes and the Memories & More Card Park which simplifies cardmaking even more. The cards and envelopes have a silver detailing on them and the envelope liners are printed with Mossy Meadow leaves.
I have chosen a Flirty Flamingo card base and coloured my flower with Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I wanted to slightly veer from the colour palette of the suite which is Basic Black, Early Espresso, Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink, So Saffron and Whisper White. The printed vellum comes in the Memories & More Card Pack. Mounting the vellum onto the Flirty Flamingo changes it’s look.
I hadn’t realized how large that flower was until I got the bundle in my hands. It’s a large flower and so pretty. The best part is – there is a die to cut it out.

All stamps are shown at actual size in Stampin’ Up! catalogues (unless otherwise stated). This makes it very easy to order the sentiments and images you want as you know exactly what you are going to get.
I added a smaller Memories & More card with a tiny leaf pattern on it and mounted the flower on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it depth.
To make the sentiment stand out, I heat embossed the ‘Congratulations’ in White Embossing powder on Early Espresso cardstock. This created a nice contrast against the busy background.
