Well, it’s hard to believe but we have come to the final Monochromatic challenge with the Crafty Collaborations Insta Hop. Today, I’ve used the More than Autumn bundle to create a rather non-traditional Christmas card.
This card actually started with the doughnuts! I wasn’t sure how or where it was going but it just was fun to colour. One was coloured in Stampin’ Blends, adding a little bit of Fresh Freesia for some blending. On the other I used ink refills with a Blender pen to get a lighter shade. I love the varied shading that can be achieved by using different colouring mediums.
The next element I coloured in was the cup and I like to think that this is filled with egg nog – it’s a favourite in our home at Christmas.
Once I had all my Highland Heather elements, I needed a colour to coordinate with it. After trying a few combinations, I loved the look of the Naturally Gilded sheet which had the Copper design. It had just the right amount of design and white space and worked really well with my sketch.
I die cut some leaves from the Changing Leaves dies which is a favourite in my collection. It’s got a lovely variety of leaves and is great for filling-in around arrangements. The hearts were die cut from the Oxidized Copper paper which the leaves were also die cut from and I added them as an embellishment.

Happy Saturday! Welcome to this week’s Monochromatic challenge which is actually an Insta Hop with the Crafty Collaborations team. The featured colour today is Petal Pink. This is a colour that over the years has ‘grown on me’. I rather like it teamed with gold for Christmas however today I’ve gone with an all occasion card using the More than Autumn bundle.
I chose a few images to cluster together on a background embossed with the Leaf Fall embossing folder. Around the images, I lightly blended the background with Petal Pink ink.
The cocoa cup was paper-pieced with Designer Series Paper from the Flowering Zinnias DSP pack. I added some shading with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends on the top and bottom of the cup. The centre was coloured with Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. The cream was glittered with Wink of Stella.
I wanted to create the look of toasted marshmallows so I stamped the image in Pecan Pie ink. Then using a Blender Pen, I pulled in some of the colour into the marshamllows, which gave them a toasted colour.
I created a customised sentiment by adding the ‘best’ from another sentiment in the set. The sentiment was stamped on Basic White Cardstock and then I coloured it in with a Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. This gives a softer tone rather than stamping directly on coloured Cardstock.
I added some splatters of Petal Pink and Wink of Stella around the white space. The sentiment was staggered and who wouldn’t love to receive a take away cup that says ‘BEST’? That’s sure to lift someone’s day.
A supply list is below and these are available in my Online Store and can be purchased Australia wide.
