Over the past few days I had the pleasure of presenting at the Great International Craft Show Series 17 – GICS17 for short. This is an online crafting event which encompasses all types of craft and the Live event is free to attend. I conducted a class a day which was loads of fun. There was a Christmas theme and I had just received my One Horse Open Sleigh suite so it was just ideal for this event.

I’ve had some fun creating with this particular suite and I particularly love the horse & sleigh image. It’s just reminiscent of images you see in storybooks and Christmas cards.
Although this image is great for colouring, I set out to create a card for those who may not like colouring so much. With some paper piecing the sleigh just came to life. Paper Piecing is such a simple and effective technique pretty much taking us back to Primary School days of cutting and pasting.
