Today’s card started off as 2 separate elements which I chose to combine for Day 25 of the #30DayChristmasCardmakingChallenge theme of Christmas Cookies.
This gingerbread man is one of my favourites and he’s just such a happy chappy. I wanted the tag to have a vintage look so I watercoloured some Fluid 100 Cardstock to recreate this. Then I added some Gold heat embossing around some of the edges.
I die cut some leaves from the Christmas Pinecones dies in Early Espresso and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and cut apart them to place around the gingerbread man and the sentiment.
For the background I used the Gorgeously Made stamp set and I blended Soft Sea Foam ink on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock to create a subtle variation in colour. Then I stamped the leaves in Old Olive ink. I added some liquid glue to the sections of leaves I wanted the embossing powder on. The Gold embossing powder was then poured over and heat embossed.
Our Last Chance sale continues until 3rd January and you can get the Sending Cheer stamps and dies while they are still available. This has been such a versatile set and I’ve used it so much for both cards and tags this year.

This card was so much fun to create for the #30DayChristmasCardmakingChallenge . I don’t know what my favourite part was – the cloud cream, the timber cinnamon quills, dusting of hot chocolate or just the warmth and cosy feeling this card exudes.
I used the Cup of Christmas stamps and dies which is a retired set however the Gift of Giving stamp set would be a suitable alternative to create a similar look.
For the cinnamon quills, I die cut the candy cane from Pecan Pie Cardstock 3 times, embossed each panel with the Timber Embossing Folder and layered the candy canes together. Then I added some depth with Early Espresso ink.
The cloud punch is the perfect shape for some frothy cream and I added some chocolate dusting with the dots from the Perched in a Tree stamp set. I stamped and dabbed (my technical term!) the stamp to creat a bit of a mottled look across the cream.
Have a great weekend. I hope you can join me at the Great International Craft Show Online Classroom at 2pm and 3:30 pm tomorrow for some more Christmas crafting inspiration.

Hello and welcome to our New at SU Blog Hop. This month we are aiming to make your life a bit easier with some packaging for Gift Cards and Gift Certificates because we know how busy these next few weeks are going to be.
I’m using the Sending Cheer bundle which is a really fun bundle to create gift tags. For today’s gift card holder I’m pairing it with the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper.
The original design for this holder was inspired by one I’d seen by Marie Shaughnessy. I CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edit) the design and adapted with the products I am using. No need to re-invent the wheel when someone has done the hard work already and created such a fun project! I just converted the imperial measurements to metric and here they both are.
MEASUREMENTS
Lost Lagoon 10.0 cm x 28.0 cm (4″ x 11″)
Soft Sea Foam 11.0 cm x 8.0 cm (4 1/4″ x 3″)
INSTRUCTIONS
Score Lost Lagoon Cardstock on the long side at 10.0 cm, 14.0 cm and 18.0 cm (4″, 5 1/2″, 7″)
Fold as follows – Valley, Mountain, Valley
Adhere DSP to the back inside panel
Adhere the 2 bases of the Mountain fold together and fold flap towards the inside
Add glue or Tear & Tape to the sides of the flap and adhere to the back (this will form your pocket)
For the box lid – Score Soft Sea Foam Cardstock on the short side at 4.0 cm (1 1/2″)
Adhere the inside back of the lid to the upper back of the present base
Add DSP and embellish
I die cut the bow from More Dazzle Glimmer Paper and Moody Mauve Cardstock using the gift die in the Sending Cheer dies. This was then layered and attached under the Designer Series Paper.
Please leave me a comment and let me know whether you’ll be giving this little gift card holder a try and check out all our other talented team members for their fun ideas to wrap up the holiday season!
