Stampers Showcase Blog Hop Header Hop Header

I’ve been having fun creating with the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack. I created a few cards the other day focusing more on the Cherry Cobbler in this pack. You can view those here. Today, I’ve gone for a more neutral colour scheme with the lovely shades of green and gray tones.

The background DSP could have worked with a number of colours but I really loved how it stood out on the Basic Gray cardstock. I embossed the smaller Memories & More card with the Old World Paper embossing folder which added some beautiful texture to this piece. The wording from the Christmas Carol, Twelve Days of Christmas, is such a lovely detail on this card.

The bold sentiment has been fussy cut from another card in this pack. I love all the detail that can be achieved by cutting these cards and using them in various ways. I’ve added a panel of Plush Poinsetta Specialty DSP which adds the soft touch of vellum with texture.

On this next card, again I chose texture with the beautiful Parisian Flourish Embossing folder. The leaves and bauble stickers have been mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The laser cut gold leaves mimic the leaves from the sticker sheet which are included in the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack. A gold cord ribbon completes this arrangement.

You get several sentiments to choose from and the gold sentiment is a simple and pretty addition to this card.

I hope you have been inspired to create some projects using the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Cards. The products I have used on these cards are listed at the bottom of this post.

Make sure you hop all the way through for lots of Mini Catalogue inspiration. Next on our hop is the talented Lisa Mackey. Click on the Next button to see her project.

My projects feature the beautiful Boho Indigo Product Medley which you will find on Page 9 of your Annual Catalogue. It is filled with a whole lot of amazing products to let your creativity take over.

Product Medley Includes

*11 piece photopolymer stamp set
*12 piece Boho Indigo Die
*48 sheets of 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) Designer Series Paper, 8 each of 6 double-sided designs
*Very Vanilla 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) dry embossed sheets, 2 each of 3 designs
*Die cuts with gold foil accents, 2 sheets each of 3 designs
*Night of Navy 1/2″ (1.3 cm) Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon (9.1 m)
*Very Vanilla/gold 1/4″ (6.4 mm) Pleated Ribbon (9.1m)
*Paper flowers, 20 each in 2 sizes

Mini Gift Box

I used one of our Mini Shipping Boxes and covered it with a sheet of the DSP which I cut to size. As the paper is 6″x6″ it didn’t wrap around but I liked the look of the Kraft box peeking slightly through as it matched my vase and the look of the project.

The Very Vanilla embossed panel comes in the Product Medley as does the gold embossed leaf. You get a variety of these and they are just beautiful accent pieces. A panel of cardstock was heat embossed in gold using the leaf stamp and then sponged Mint Macaron and Garden Green over to create the border at the bottom.

Gift Tag

I made a matching gift tag as beautifully packaged gifts need a beautiful gift tag.

I made the best use of the items in the Product Medley including the label which I stamped and sponged on. The accents of green and Cinnamon Cider work well against the blues of this suite.

All the products I have used on these projects are listed at the bottom of this post. I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Please follow the hop right through for lots of packaging ideas for the next time you need to do some gift wrapping. Next on our hop is Annette Ball. Stampers Showcase Blog Hop – 2020 Annual Catalogue

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop HeaderWelcome to our monthly Stampers Showcase Blog Hop and to my blog, Stamping Flair. I’m a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator located in Melbourne. This month we are highlighting new products from the 2020 Annual Catalogue.

I’ve chosen the Birds and Branches bundle for my card. The bundle comes with several images of birds, flowers, branches and foliage to create lots of lovely effects. You can get this bundle for free – until the 30th of June (only a few hours left), when you purchase a Starter Kit.

My card began with a couple of pieces of leftovers – the blue In Good Taste Designer Series Paper and a panel of embossed Misty Moonlight cardstock. This had been on my desk for a while and I thought – aah, this makes a good match. I used the Hippo and Friends dies to cut the bottom of the banner. This die set is one of my favourites because of all the nested frames it offers.

The bird was stamped in Seaside Spray and Mint Macaron. I die cut a branch from Whisper White cardstock and coloured it with Stampin’ Blends. This was mounted on a frame cut with the Ornate Frames Dies. I masked and stamped the inside with the Dry Brush stamp which created a lovely light background.

Metallic ribbon and silver metallic pearls add a lovely touch to complement this sweet bird.

All the products I have used for this card are listed at the bottom of this post. I hope you have been inspired by my project and would love for you to leave me a comment. Thank you for visiting my blog today and I hope to see you back very soon. Click on the next button to see what talented Lisa Mackey has in store for you and follow the hop through for lots of inspiration.

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop – Occasions Catalogue

Hi Friends,

Welcome to Stamping Flair in cold, sunny (a little bit unsure what it’s doing) Melbourne. I’m really glad that you are here and able to share in the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop. We are going to bring you projects featuring products from the outgoing Mini Catalogue. Isn’t it a wonderful catalogue?

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop Header

With so much product to choose from, I went with my absolute favourite suite of products, the Tropical Oasis Suite. Perhaps, it was the palm trees and frangipani that reminded me of my Sri Lankan heritage that just drew me to this stamp set.

I have mainly used the Tropical Oasis Memories & More card pack to create my card. The large flower was fussy cut from one of the smaller cards.

I incorporated some leaves from the Tropical dies which coordinate so well with the Tropical Oasis suite. All the layers have been placed on a piece of Whisper White cardstock which has been embossed with the Coastal Weave embossing folder. This is such a lovely embossing folder and I’m sad to see it retiring.

I hope you have enjoyed my tropical project and I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment. You can create this card at home too. All products I’ve used are listed at the bottom of this post. Click on the Next button to see what lovely Dana Sullivan has prepared for you.

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop – It’s Your Birthday!

Hi,

Are you celebrating a birthday today? You’re in for a virtual treat in this blog hop because we’re all here to wish you a happy birthday. Whether it’s your birthday or not, thank you for stopping by my blog today. I’m blog hopping with other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world to bring you some birthday cheer.

Stampers Showcase Blog Hop Header

I figured I needed to bring in some gold for my celebration and as I hadn’t used the patterned masks for a while, I decided this was the project it was going to make an appearance on. At $10 for 4 masks, this is great value as you can use them in a variety of ways.

I used Shimmery White cardstock to heat emboss on as I like the lovely shimmer on it and also the beautiful smooth finish which is lovely to brayer on. Laying the mask over the cardstock, I applied Versamark all over the panel ensuring it was completely covered and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.

Using a sponge brayer, I applied Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Call me Clover inks to create the ombre effect over the entire panel. I used a kitchen towel to wipe back the excess ink which brings up the gold. The ribbon ribbon was attached under this panel using Tear n’ Tape. Then I mounted this with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the card base.

How to create an ombre effect with a brayer and Stampin' Up! ink

I chose a Whisper White panel in the centre to soften all the green and gold. Embossing it with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder added more texture and softness to the rich, gold background. The flowers are from the Botanical Prints Product Medley which is a fabulous product, containing everything you need to get creative.

Currently you are visiting Rochelle Laird-Smith of Stamping Flair based in Australia. All products and measurements used on my card are listed below. I hope I have inspired you today and maybe you’ll give this technique a try.
