Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop – Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful ladies who are caring for your God-given treasures, to those who are in a position of caring for children – step-mums, guardians, to dads – who have to step in as mum and to everyone of you who share the load. It’s a very special day to honour a very special Mum in our lives. So for our Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop I created a Mother’s Day card using our Floral theme.

Stamping Inkspirations Blog Header

There are an endless amount of options when it comes to Floral and the variety that Stampin’ Up! offers.

The hibiscus from the Timeless Tropical stamp set is a pretty image to colour. I stamped 2 of these and coloured with Light Flirty Flamingo and Light and Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends, Then I cut along the petal lines of one flower, curling the petals with a bone folder. This flower was attached to the other to create a 3D flower.

With such a pretty flower, I wanted my background structured and simple. I die cut several labels from the Hand Penned DSP and arranged it to the card. This created an interesting background for my flower.

I hope you enjoy your Mother’s Day with your family and getting spoiled! Thank you for spending some time with me on this special day and I hope to see you again soon. Please click on the Next button to see Satomi Wellard’s lovely project.

Joy of Sets Blog Hop – Easter/Spring

Hi friend,

Welcome and I’m glad you have had a chance to visit me at my blog, Stamping Flair today. The Joy of Sets Blog Hop participants are showcasing Easter and Spring projects this month so I’m sure there’ll be lots of pastels, bunnies and other cute projects.Joy of Sets Easter Header

I combined both themes by creating flowers for spring with a sentiment for Easter.

Stampin' Up!, Joy of Sets Blog Hop, Timeless Tulips, Two Tone Tulips

The two-tone tulips from Timeless Tulips were created by inking up the stamp in Mango Melody. Then I used a sponge dauber to ink around the edges in Lovely Lipstick. The leaves used the same technique with Granny Apple Green and Call me Clover,

Fussy cut tulips framed in Stitched so Sweetly Frame

The Country Home stamp set is a favourite of mine and I think this tin can makes a really great vase for the tulips. I stamped the can in Smoky Slate and then coloured it in Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. A panel of black and white striped  Honey Bee Sale Specialty DSP from the Sale-A-Bration range adds a nice contrast against the scalloped frame.

Stampin' Up!, Joy of Sets Blog hop, Spring, Easter

Extra texture was added by embossing the larger panel of Whisper White cardstock with the Tin Tile embossing folder. The Smaller panel was embossed with the Subtle folder. As I didn’t have any ribbon to match the colours on my card I created my own by colouring it with the Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. I stamped the sentiment from the Timeless Tulips stamp set and cut out the ‘Happy Easter’ section as the rest of the sentiment which said said ‘happy spring’ didn’t quite work for us Down Under!

Thanks for stopping by and  I hope you have been inspired to share your creativity by giving out some Easter cards. International Women’s Day – #gdp230

Celebrating the ladies in a special way today with International Women’s Day. Every day is Women’s Day I know because there is SO MUCH women take on and do in their stride.

Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper

My card  today is to celebrate wonderful YOU! I’ve used the Beautiful Moments stamp set and paired it with some fussy cutting from the Timeless Tulips stamp set.

I’ve used the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper which is a Sale-A-Bration Coordination offering. This DSP coordinated with the Tulip Builder Punch, Heart Punch Pack, Umbrella Builder Punch and Small Bloom Punch – that’s a lot of images you can get out of this pack without doing one bit of colouring in.

The Beautiful Moments stamp set has images of women and little girls. This would make beautiful Mother’s Day cards and also great scrapbooking pages.

Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #230

My card has been inspired by this sketch from the Global Design Project.

All products I’ve used are listed at the bottom of this post. There’s still a couple of weeks left of Sale-A-Bration and you can a get free item with any $90 order. The free goodies will be while supplies last so if there is a particular item that takes your fancy, I recommend you don’t wait so you don’t miss out.

Enjoy your long weekend and remember, you are a blessing!
