I wanted to share with you today, a card that is included in my Winterly Tree Tops Mail-Out class. The combination of the images in this set with the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper made it such a joy to create.
This card was perfect for this week’s TGIF #tgifc500 Let’s Tear It Up! challenge. As hard as it it to tear such gorgeous paper, the effects it creates is stunning.
The birds were coloured in Stampin’ Blends and for the background I’ve used the Painted Trees Embossing Folder which adds beautiful texture.
Create this card and 3 others using these products and calming colour combinations in this month’s Winterly Tree Tops class. While I created an all occasion card, swap the sentiment and you would have a beautiful Christmas card.
Click on the image below for more information on this class. With 3 options, you can join in this class from anywhere in the world. Registrations close 5th December.
The Winterly Tree Tops bundle is a favourite of mine and for this class I have combined it with some products which are out of it’s suite. The beautiful blues and neutral tones of the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper creates such beautiful projects.
The stamp set itself is not Christmas related so these cards are suited for all occasions however, swap the sentiments out for some festive ones and you will have Christmas cards. You will create 4 cards in this class and have lots of product left over to create even more. I have really enjoyed creating these beautiful projects which include the pretty birds and gorgeous wreaths combined with a touch of luxe from the gold in the paper.
There are a few ways you can participate in this class. Options 1 and 2 include product and these can be shipped Australia wide. Option 3 is the PDF tutorial only and this is available for purchase internationally. If you purchase any of the kit options, the PDF tutorial is included in the kit and will be emailed to you.
It’s so easy to create along with my classes as I provide all the instructions, measurements (metric and imperial) and photos for you to follow along with. Your kit includes all Cardstock, any embossed pieces and die cut pieces which are outside the bundle.

Team Coastal or Team Traditional – what will I pick for this month’s Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop? I’m Team Christmas in whatever colour it comes in but for this challenge I had to go with coastal charm.
The Around the World on Wednesday blog hop team are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from different areas of the world. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month we share inspiration based on a particular theme.
Here in Melbourne, Christmas is typically warm and summery, a stark contrast to the snowy scenes many associate with the season. Living just a 5-minute walk from the beach makes the coastal theme feel even more fitting for my lifestyle. The coastal palette included pink! As you might know, pink is my absolute favourite, so how could I resist?
The Winterly Tree Tops bundle was sitting on my desk so I thought let’s go with some tropical birds for my coastal Christmas card. The birds were watercoloured in Summer Splash and Granny Apple Green and some Azure Afternoon highlights.
Around the birds I added some die cuts from the Seaside Wishes, Charming Duck Pond and Flowers of Beauty dies to work in with my beachy theme. Some Flirty Flamingo adds the touch of pink to my card.
I also added some fussy cut logs from the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper with the foliage hiding the printed otters. Of course a Christmas card wouldn’t be complete without some Glimmer Paper and a generous brushing of Wink of Stella on the birds.
Many of the products I have used on this card are part of bundles that are discounted in our Seasonal Sale which runs from 13th – 15th November. A product list is below to assist you with selecting products.
I hope you have been inspired with my mish mash of products. Let me know—do you love the laid-back charm of coastal Christmas colours, or do you prefer the classic traditional hues? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
Next on our hop you will be visiting Danielle Kassing in the Netherlands. Be sure to follow the hop through for lots of inspiration. I know I’m looking forward to seeing what my friends have chosen for their colour palette.

Hello and welcome to this week’s Monochromatic inspiration with Garden Green. This would be one of my least used greens however with quite a few of our Designer Series Papers incorporating it, I’ve been using it more often. For my card today, I’m using the Winterly Tree Tops bundle which is part of the Nests of Winter suite in the upcoming September-December Mini Catalogue.
I’ve had this suite for a couple of months now as we got to order it early as part of a demonstrator event. I really love the images in this bundle and the coordinating Designer Series Paper is just beautiful. What really takes this suite over the edge is the trio of coloured Linen Thread in Copper Clay, Garden Green and Night of Navy.
I added some Smoky Slate to my colour palette, with a little bit of Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie to shade in the bird. The berries were coloured with a Garden Green Watercolour Pencil.
The strip of background shapes were die cut from the Nests of Winter and To Market Designer Series Paper and adhered to cardstock embossed with the Birch Wood Embossing Folder. I really like the white space with the pops of green which creates a simple elegance.
To complete the card I added a fussy cut heat embossed sentiment and some Garden Green Linen Thread and embellishments.
