Thinking of You Card – Petals of Beauty Bundle

Happy Easter! I hope you have been enjoying a beautiful day celebrating this day. Today my card combines a couple of challenges and I’ve gone through our Last Chance list to show some love to some products which are going to be leaving us. The Petals of Beauty bundle has got lots of use from me including an entire Card Creations Series devoted to it. The colour palette on this card feels very Easter themed so it works for today!

I have followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches FMS730 and been inspired by the colours of this week’s challenge at Global Design Project GDP541 of Timid Tiger, Daffodil Delight and Cloud Cover.

I inked up the full flower images in Daffodil Delight then added some shading in Timid Tiger with a Blending Brush to get the colour variation. Then I added the outline of the flowers in Daffodil Delight. The brighter colours against Cloud Cover is so calming which led me to choose the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment.

For the base, I added the Whispers of Texture Specialty Paper (which is also on Last Chance – sigh!) and some die cut frames to add my focal cluster to.

The leaves from the Petals of Beauty dies are so varied and give you lots of choices. I took one of the smaller sprigs and die cut it from Gold Foil to add some highlights to this floral cluster. A few butterfly embellishments and Gold Mesh ribbon bow further accent the overall arrangement.
