AWOW Blog Hop – This or That All Wrapped Up with Gratitude

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday (AWOW) blog hop for November. This year we celebrated 5 years of this blog hop which was commenced and is lovingly organised by our leader Angie McKenzie. I’ve had the pleasure of being here from the beginning. As part of our celebrations, we have been Caseing our team members and for this, our eighth month , we are CAS(e)ing our American team member, Sharon Hashimoto Burkert.

Sharon has a classic and clean cardmaking style and I found this lovely card on her FB page As the Ink Dries to CASE for my This or That projects.

Coming up to the end of the year, Thank You cards are something we all need. Whether it’s for colleagues, teachers. coaches and others who have helped us through the year. I’ve used the Good Times Mix & Match Ephemera Pack to create these two cards.

Our Ephemera Packs are great for creating quick projects – especially when you are time poor – as we may be during these few weeks. They can be enhanced to add some detail in a variety of ways. Both cards have layers of embossed cardstock. I love adding this to my cards for an instant WOW!

On this ccard with the pear I added a little bit of Granny Apple Green shading to the bird with a Watercolour Pencil. This tied it in nicely with the rest of the elements.

On the card with the vase, I added the black leaves behind, cutting them apart so it gave it more fullness. Then a few flowers were glued to the top for a little arrangement.

I’m not one for too much fluffy sentiments 😀 so I cut apart a sentiment so I could just use the word ‘thankful’ and that fit nice on my vase. A large bow wraps each of these cards with gratitude.
