Book Binding Fun Fold Card – Winter Scenes

For the third card in my Winter Scenes Card Creations Series, I created an easy fun fold card. The Book Binding fold adds just an extra score line to give a little bit of an interesting fold to a regular card front.

I decorated the base of the card with the Traditions of Christmas Designer Series Paper. This specialty paper has gold foil design on one side and simpler designs on the other. I’ve been using more of the simpler patterns for my cards, finding that they are versatile across a range of projects.

For the focal point of this card, I stamped the mountain image in Pecan Pie ink and brought it to life with Stampin’ Blends and Watercolour Pencils. The combination of the two mediums added soft shading and depth, giving the winter scene a realistic touch.

To highlight the image, I created a feature cluster with die cut leaves from the Delicate Pines dies, layered alongside a folded ribbon. Topped with a striking poinsettia, which I fussy cut from the DSP, this arrangement draws the eye and frames the scene beautifully, adding elegance and festive charm to the overall design.
