Caseing the Catty CTC516 – Favourite Annual Catalogue Project

Happy Easter! I hope you have enjoyed a lovely day with your loved ones celebrating this special event. Today our Caseing the Catty Crew have chosen our favourite project from the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue to CASE for CTC516. Favourites are always a hard thing because I struggle sticking to one!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO CASE?

Each week our Crew at Caseing the Catty start off the challenge with a blog hop and you can join in the challenge and share your creations on our FB page. To CASE means to Copy and Selectively Edit a project, be inspired by it to make it your own.

To make my favourite choice a bit easier, I first selected the bundle I wanted to work with. I chose the fun new, Poppin’ By online exclusive which releases on 6th May. My goodness, this set has cuteness in buckets (of popcorn)!. From popcorn with faces to little shoes and shades, this was a must have for me.

I chose this card on Page 58 which uses the Labeled with Love Bundle and followed the sketch. This is a nice basic sketch which can be interpreted so many ways which is why I gravitated to it.

Now there is no tag on my card but I replaced it with the film reels. This die cuts each piece individually and the centre rectangle pops out. I attached them on a narrow strip of White Cardstock, curving it slightly to create the look of a reel.

I stamped the bucket image twice, fussy cutting around the red one and layering it. To achieve a really nice deep red striped image, I did use my stamp positioning tool so I could repeatedly stamp over the image for a beautiful crisp look. How cute are those little shoes? They are just so tiny and adorable.

The Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper was just perfect for my movie theme. With musical notes and the red stripes, it worked really well for this design and replaced the ribbon in the sketch. I did swap out the side of the bow and moved my elements to the right to balance out with the focal image.

The Poppin’ By bundle includes 3 large popcorn which have an outer die that cuts and an inner one that creates the small slits and the impression as I’ve used here. You create this in one pass through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and I love the texture this gives.

A ticket border was created for the sentiment using the Happy Labels punch and complete with glasses it created a fun cluster on the top.
