I’ve got a quick and easy card today using the Inked & Tiled punch pack. Although it’s got lots of layers (which I love), the punch makes this an easy card to create.
The Inked & Tiled Punch pack is a set of 2 punches. For this card I used one and layered it on the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper as my background. One of the sheets in the paper pack has the shape of the punch.
I punched out several of the shapes from Basic White Cardstock and embossed them with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. Then I just glued in top of the flowers. I know….I covered up those pretty flowers but I really wanted to create something a little different and the paper has a subtle design which looks lovely against the embossing.
A single Parakeet Party leaf sprig and a cute butterfly embellishment complete this minimalist card.

Hi friends, Welcome to our New at SU Blog hop for August where we are featuring some of our suites in the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and Online Exclusives range. I’ve chosen the Hello, Irresistible suite which is part of our Online Exclusives range.
The Hello, Irresistible suite includes a stamp set and coordinating dies, Designer Series Paper and embellishments. The dies cut out several of the images in the Designer Series Paper, including flowers and leaves.
My card centred around that one flower which I heat embossed in Clear, stamping with Sweet Sorbet ink on Basic White Cardstock. I created 3 flowers which were watercoloured in Sweet Sorbet and Calypso Coral with a Water Painter. Then I cut them apart and layered each one to form a 3D flower.
I followed the sketch at TGIF Challenges and used some of the beautiful DSP for the top section of my card. I die cut the border also from DSP and blended Sweet Sorbet ink along the bottom edge.
Several leaves were die cut from the DSP and from Basic White Cardstock to fill out the flower.
For the banner, I die cut Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with the detailed die from the Irresistible Blooms dies. Then I adhered this to a piece of Kraft Notecard which I finished off by die cutting with the banner from the Nested Essentials Dies.
Thank you for stopping by to see my project. I hope you found it ‘irresistible’ and if you haven’t got this suite will consider adding it to your next order.
Next on our hop is my friend Angie McKenzie and I can’t wait to see her beautiful project with the Inked Botanicals suite. Follow our hop through for lots of suite inspiration and please leave a comment as we love hearing from you.

When I saw that the Global Design Project #gdp403 theme this week was ‘Stripes’ I really wanted to play along with it. You can draw stripes, paint watercolour stripes, use patterned paper, make use of paper scraps and create a striped pattern, criss cross those stripes for checks… you get it – the possibilities are many.
My first thought was to use the striped paper which is available our Classic and In-Color 6″x6″ paper packs. I pulled out several colours, used none and just ended up with a big pile of stuff on my desk. I picked the lovely checked sheet from the Inked Botanicals DSP which is made up of stripes and layered it onto and embossed striped Basic White panel.
With Father’s Day in just 6 weeks I though I would combine all 3 of these challenges and chose the Trucking Along bundle to meet the TGIF Challenges #tgifc430 brief of travel. I then followed along with the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #FMS595 which made designing the card much easier.
The truck body was coloured in Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends. I added a tree ring in keeping with the outdoor theme I was trying to create for this Father’s Day card. I have several of these tree rings die cut and ready to be put on projects. These are kept in the folder which the dies come in and then when I need one, all I need to do is just add some colour. So for this tree ring I blended Wild Wheat, Pecan Pie and Copper Clay ink with a Blending Brush.
I added some leaves die cut again from Basic White Cardstock. These were blended with Mossy Meaadow and Copper Clay ink to give a variegated look.
I heat embossed the sentiment in Night of Navy/Clear Embossing Powder on the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper. Using your Clear Embossing Powder you can match any project with all the colours in our range.
HOW TO HEAT EMBOSS IN COLOUR
Ink up the stamp in Versamark
Immediately ink it up in desired ink colour
Stamp onto Cardstock/Designer Series Paper
Pour Clear Embossing Powder over the image
Set with Heat Tool
You have a coloured embossed image
I hope you have enjoyed this project using the cute truck which has been very popular. The Trucking Along bundle is available now in our Online Exclusives range while supplies last.

I love this combination of Pretty Peacock, Coastal Cabana and Lemon Lolly and it inspired me to create this coastal card. I began with watercolouring the strip of shells on Fluid 100 cardstock. Then I fussy cut around the image to create the shell border adding some ‘sea foam’ with Embossing Paste. This is such a fun product to create beautiful texture. On top of this I added a strip of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper which I cut along the guide of the printed torn paper. This added to the textured look of the waves.
With the Rays of Light stamp set I created a two-tone background of Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock. The base layer was blended with Lemon Lolly ink for some sunshine.
The sentiment had an open centre which needed something and using the Radiating Stiches Dies I created a sun which I coloured with a Blending Brush. A few little shells were die cut from Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. This gave them some lovely (and easy) shading and finished the card off well.
If you live in Australia and would like to make this card, these products are available to be purchased from my Online Store. Alternately, you can contact me and I can place the order for you.
Thank you for stopping by and I’d love to hear what you think of this card so please leave me a comment.

Right now, we’re in the middle of school holidays in Melbourne. I’m staying put at home but many of my friends are roaming far and wide. Some local but lots are escaping to Europe where it’s a little bit warmer than here. Perhaps that’s where my inspiration for this card has come from.
Sometimes, I start off with one thing in my head and the finished product is completely different. This was one of those projects! I loved the colour palette and was leaning towards a travel theme so of course the Next Destination stamp set was a great good option.
I picked the map style sheet from the Let’s go Fishing Designer Series Paper and blended over it with Smoky Slate ink. The Pecan Pie Cardstock strips were originally going to be cut flush to create the background. However, after I had glued the strips down and saw the overhang, I really liked the look and just trimed the ends at varying angles.
The Smoky Slate Cardstock underneath was blended with Smoky Slate ink as was the card matte. This gave it a darker tone which brought out the focal images.
The images were coloured with ink refills and a Blender Pen. As I had stamped the images on Basic White Cardstock I was careful not to oversaturate the images when colouring them in. Alternately, you could use Fluid 100 Cardstock but this worked well for me.
I added the campervan as it was in keeping with my travel theme and it’s so CUTE! These images reflect the sentiment so well. No matter where you are and what you are doing – explore and dream. It leads to discovery of new and wonderful things.

Most avid crafters have endless amounts of paper and cardstock scrap and I’m sure you have a collection as well. This card has been designed around scraps and is great for us hoarders who can’t throw away any of those little bits of beautiful Designer Series Paper.
My card has been inspired by two challenges. I’ve picked scraps and strips from the Just Add Ink JAI658- Just Choose Two challenge. The strips were perfect for the sketch at the Paper Players PP646 challenge.
I took a piece of Basic White Cardstock slightly larger than the size of the banner. Then I adhered several strips of the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper strips across it and die cut it with the largest banner from the Nested Essentials dies. I really love the patchwork effect this gives.
For some extra strips and in-keeping with the sketch I took some scrap Basic White Cardstock cut to 1.5 cm. I blended these with Boho Blue ink and stamped over them with the large watercolour look image from the Artistically Inked stamp set. This gave it a lovely textured look.
The Stampin’ Up! June Creative Challenge is to use Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends. I used the Blends to colour in the Punched out hearts and this provided a nice contrast against the blues.
I hope this inspires you to get creative with your scraps and find some fun ways to bring new life to them.
You can get this Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper on sale until 30th June. This is my favourite in the Annual Catalogue. The blues just work so well together.
