Last week I tried out a variation on the Baby Wipe Technique and created a range of backgrounds. I played around with various colours and came up with a few different options. For this particular base I used Bubble Bath, Highland Heather and Melon Mambo.
BABY WIPE TECHNIQUE VARIATION
You will need a couple of baby wipes which you fold into 1/8 (roughly) to form a small ink pad. Drop the ink refill colour of your choice onto the baby wipe. Gentle wipe it in circular motion onto a piece of Fluid 100 Cardstock. Apply the colour to different sections.
Continue with the other colours until you get a blended look.
I’ve followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #fms629 and used the Magnolia Mood bundle to complete my card.
Stamping the image in Stazon ink, I watercoloured the image with a range of ink refills including Shy Shamrock which is part of the 2024-2026 In-Color range.
For the top part of the sketch I fussy cut a piece of Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper. Under it I added an embossed piece of White Cardstock which had been die cut with the Gorgeously Made dies. On the Thick White card base, I added another piece of White Cardstock exactly the same size which was embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. I find that embossing the card base can warp the card front so I prefer to add that extra layer.

Happy Valentine’s Day! Today the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop team are sharing the love of our favourite technique. There are so many great techniques and I can’t wait to see what everyone’s favourite is.
Our team comprises of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators representative of our global market and on the second Wednesday of each month we share creative inspiration with you.
The first thing that popped into my head for my favourite technique was ink blending because I seem to use it it some capacity on the majority of my cards. I managed to incorporate quite a few of my favourite techniques on my cards today as I realised there are some I tend to use quite often such as layering and colouring.
First I blended a background of Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sorbet. I had an idea of creating a background of cow spots on this background. To do this, I created a mask from Basic White Cardstock using some dies from the Pansy Patch dies which had the shapes suitable for this. Then I blended Pecan Pie and Early Espresso ink through it.
I die cut the background pieces of the greenery from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and blended Garden Green ink over it to create a variation in colour. The layer at the back has been embossed with the Elegant Eucalyptus Embossing Folder which had the long sprigs like grass. I randomly blended some Cardstock with a range of greens and die cut the grass from it. I love how this provides different shading across the die cut pieces.
The Old Olive panel towards the front was embossed with the Fern embossing folder which added the textured look behind the grass.
As part of this challenge, we were also encouraged to double up the challenge and find out the technique of one of our team members. I really enjoy finding out more about our team like this because we are friends and it’s nice to get to know your friends better. I reached out to Danielle Kassing who let me know that her favourite technique is creating Ink Blended backgrounds (make sure you check her post out). So I’ve created a card focusing on this fun technique.
Using the large grass die cut from the Garden Meadow dies I blended a range of greens down the panel of Basic White Cardstock. This creates a fun ombre background and it’s a great way to use your different coloured ink pads.
The flowers were fussy and I added the cute cow on top. On both the cows today I added a bit of sponge daubing with Pecan Pie ink to add a dusting of earthy dirt!
A panel of White Cardstock embossed with the Stripes embossing folder adds some lovely texture. This embossing folder is part of the Stripes & Splatters pack and you can get it free with a $90 order during our Sale-A-Bration promotions which runs through until 29th February.
What is your favourite technique that you just love? Let me know in the comments. I hope that you have enjoyed the projects I’ve shared with you today and try out some of these fun techniques.
Please hop through to Cheryll Miiller to see what she is sharing with us today. I know she will have something amazing for you.

Hello everyone, Welcome to a new week. I love the colour palette of today’s card. I didn’t set out to create with this but it just turned out this way and I love the beautiful, beachy tones of this that I’ll probably be using it again.
Inspired by the sketch at Global Design Project Challenges I used the bird from the Inspirational Sketches stamp set as my main image. This stamp set is just my style and I love the artistic look of it.
This sketch is a really classic layout and the offset design lends itself to so many interpretations.
STAMPED BIRD
After picking my Designer Series Paper, I then chose my stamp set. The bird was inked up in Boho Blue then I wiped off the beak, feet and branches with a paper towel and added the Crumb Cake Marker to it before stamping the image. This iwas then coloured in Watercolour Pencils of Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Basic Gray.
OFFSET PANELS
To create the offset panels, I cut a piece of Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper at 13.3 cm x 9.0 cm. I added a die cut Deckled Rectangle on top which was embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.
Banners die cut using the All That dies were embellished with some flowers die cut from the Kraft Note Cards. The natural tones of the Kraft work well against the Boho Blue. A Linen Thread bow added the perfect finishing touch.
During our Sale-A-Bration promotion which runs through until 29th February when you place an order of $90 you qualify for a FREE Sale-A-Bration reward. Here’s a suggested list of products I’ve put together that would qualify you for a freebie. Please get in touch with me if you would like assistance placing an order.
Happy Saturday friends, It’s early hours of the morning when this post goes Live in Melbourne. Thank you for stopping by to check out my inspiration for our Monochromatic Instagram hop this week. Although the hop is on Instagram I like to share the details of my card on my blog.
Today we are sharing projects using my favourite In-Color in our range at the moment, Pebbled Path. It’s not brown nor is it grey. It’s just right!
I have chosen the Stippled Roses bundle to create some detail on my card with some black accents.
I started by creating the 2 even panels. To create this, I stamped the large leaf from the Stippled Roses stamp set in Versamark ink onto Pebbled Path Cardstock. This was heat embossed in Black. Then I cut the Cardstock into 2 panels which were blended around the edges with Pebbled Path ink.
A ribbon was added at the back of the 2 panels to depict the strip on the card sketch.
On the base of the card I added a layer of the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper. This Designer Series Paper is 12″x12″ and you get 12 doubled sided sheets in each pack (2 sheets of 6 designs). You can get this paper free with a $90 order during our Sale-A-Bration promotion which runs through 29th February.
I kept this card simple and elegant with a single rose stamped in Pebbled Path. I layered the flower and leaves, fussy cutting around them. Some additional die cut leaves in Pebbled Path were interspersed to layer on the flower and the die cut sentiment.

This fantastic promotion runs until 29th February and you get to choose a free product from our Sale-A-Bration catalogue with every $90 order. My card features the bright and cheerful Sunny Days Designer Series Paper. This can be earned free with a $90 order. This DSP coordinates with the Bright Skies bundle #162794 on page 51 of the Mini Catalogue.
I have paired it with the fun and aptly named, Cutest Cows bundle. This stamp set has a whole lot of images which can be used to build up scenes or used by themselves. Pair it with the punch to create cows with fun expressions and poses!
I used the Rays of Light stamp set to create a background strip which I felt worked well with the cloud DSP sheet. My sweet cow sits on another panel of the DSP.
I fussy cut some flowers from the DSP sheet to add around the cow and completed the card with a few Opaque Faceted Gems which is also a free Sale-A-Bration product.
If you love this combination of products, please check out the video below of another card I created using these products. I’m having lots of fun with this set!

Today I’m playing along with the Global Design Project Challenge #gdp412 CASE the designer project. We are CASEing a card by Wilma de Korte from the the Netherlands.
To CASE means to Copy and Selectively Edit any part of the card whether it’s layout, colours, themes, stamp set. I’ve copied the layout of Wilma’s card creating a houndstooth background with the Abundant Beauty Decorative mask.
The frame was blended in Real Red and then I added Gilded Leafing with Liquid Glue dotted in sections. This was mounted using Foam Adhesive Sheets cut into thin strips.
On this I added the apples, coloured in with a variety of Stampin’ Blends and cut out using the scalpel tip from the Take Your Pick Crafters Tips. This was great to get inbetween all the leaves so that the background was visible.
The sentiment was stamped on the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper which was also used as one of the matte layers. To stabilise the sentiment I added 3 layers of scrap cardstock under it before mounting it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Products used to create this card are listed at the bottom of this post. You can shop online or contact me to place your order.
Have a fabulous week and if I can help you in any way, please get in touch with me.
