Elegant Card with Simple Colouring Techniques

The final card in my Modern Christmas Card Creations Series is a favourite of mine. I think what I love is that spotted background with lots of white space which lets the colours stand out.

I used a few simple colouring techniques to create the central cluster. The tree in the middle was stamped Garden Green and then I stamped it a second time to create fullness. The tree at the back was coloured in Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. I wanted a pop of colour and chose Melon Mambo, blending the ink lightly to create a beautiful soft look on the ornament.

I added some colouring with Ivory which blended in beautifully with my chosen colours and really worked with the whole design. To complete the card I added some gold foil stars which were my embellishments.
