Lovely Arrangement Birthday Card – SU Creative Challenge Sketch
Every month, Stampin’ Up! issue a Creative Challenge to keep us inspired and for January it is a fun sketch. As a first saw the sketch I was wondering how I would ever create something with so many bits and pieces intersecting without it looking too busy. I love creating using a sketch and the best part about it is you don’t have to follow the shapes, they are there to inpire us.
In the photo above you can see some different ways to interpret the sketch. I went with it as shown and you can see my process in the video further down this post.
I used the Lovely Arrangements Bundle and the Lovely Blossoms Sticker Pack to put together my card. Using the same suite made the design cohesive as the colours coordinated and worked beautifully together.
I added a single flower and a few leaves to keep the focal point simple and not detracting from the details of the sketch.
This card surprised me in how it all balanced out and I really enjoyed putting it together. You can play along with the sketch and share your creations using #creativechallengesu .
