Peaceful Pier – Thinking of You Card
The Peaceful Pier stamp set has firmly claimed a spot in my Top 5 Picks from the 2025–2026 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue — and for good reason! I’m drawn to its idyllic scenes and calming imagery, which make it such a versatile choice. Whether you’re crafting for a special occasion or just sending a thoughtful note, this set adapts beautifully — perfect for both masculine and feminine cards.
This serene pier scene immediately inspired me to create a Thinking of You card. I paired it with the soft patterns from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper for a look that’s peaceful and elegant.
I coloured the image using Watercolour Pencils, then die cut around it with the Textured Notes Dies—a perfect way to frame the scene and draw the eye to the focal point. To complement it, I layered the background with plenty of Designer Series Paper, creating a look that’s rich in texture and beautifully inspired by nature.
To keep the design cohesive, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the same Designer Series Paper I used in the background. The subtle texture of the paper allowed the sentiment to stand out without overpowering the focal image. This simple detail helped tie the whole project together, giving it a balanced look.
