Hi Friends,
It’s been a while since I have posted with any of my creations. The last couple of weeks have been quite a bit of an emotional and busy week in our home and card making got put aside for a while. There were good times and sad times and as families we all go through this.
My daughter’s Granny went Home to be with the Lord and we went interstate to be with our family during this sad time. She was a beautiful lady with lots of love to give and one who loved looking after those whom she came in contact with. We got to spend some time with her in March and we are so grateful for that.
We also had my nephew visiting from Vancouver and we had some great family time together.
Yesterday, was a fantastic day with On Stage convention, celebrating Stampin’ Up!’s 30th anniversary. I hope to do a post this week featuring some of the photos and fun times that I had there will fellow demonstrators. The new Occasions Catalogue is filled with beautiful products and you are in for a treat.
My cards today feature the Seize the Day stamp set. The sentiments in this stamp set are for encouragement and resilience and this image of someone at the top of the mountain is one I especially love because it shows strength and courage.
Basic
This Basic card just uses ink and paper and can be created in minutes. Stamp the trees in Granny Apple Green and the mountain, birds and sentiment in Early Espresso. Cut a strip of Designer Series Paper and flag the edge with paper snips. Adhere over the stamped image. Card complete!
Intermediate
To step this up, I have spotlighted a section of the image.
Die cut a circle from Whisper White cardstock and apply a little bit of glue to the back. Leave it to become tacky then attach to the panel of Whisper White cardstock cut to 9.9×14.2cm. Now stamp the trees and the mountain on top of the circle and base layer. You will need to apply extra pressure to ensure the stamp reaches all edges as it is going over 2 pieces of cardstock.
Lift the Whisper White circle off and attach to Night of Navy circle then attach with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the Whisper White panel. Attach entire piece to a Night of Navy card base.
Advanced
To add more detail and interest to this card, sponge some Pool Party and Pear Pizzazz onto the Whisper White panel to fill in the background. Attach baker’s twine around the strip of DSP.
Die cut and punch leaves and arrange around the sentiment to add dimension .
