Sunrise Sailing Birthday Card
It’s always fun to play with new products and the theme of Ocean from Global Design Project Challenge #gdp491 was a great chance to pull out the Sunrise Sailing bundle. This is an Online Exclusive product which will be released on the 6th of May.
I’m always drawn to marine themed products and when I saw this set it was definitely going to be in my collection. This bundle includes a stamp set and a hybrid embossing folder. The embossing folder has a complete scene so you could create a card using just that – it is so pretty.
I have followed the sketch at Stampin’ Fancy Friday, adding the circles with the Stylish Shapes and Spotlight on Nature Dies.
This set is perfect for creating a masculine themed card. Pairing it with the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper gave it that extra ‘guy’ touch. The waves were created from one of the 2 wave dies that come in the set. I used the die cut and the leftover piece to create the two layers, blending them with Pool Party ink
The white matte layer has been embossed with the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder which creates such beautiful texture, forming waves to sail on. I added some Swirl Dot embellishments to complete the card. While these embellishments have sold out, you could substitute it with the Neutral Matte Dots.
