Hello and welcome to Boho Blue week. This is our weeky Instagram hop and I like to share the details of my project on my blog so you can recreate with the products I’ve used if it takes your fancy. Boho Blue is another one of my favourites. It’s a pretty and soft blue and quite calming. It’s part of our 2023-2025 In-Colors so I’m glad we’ve got another year with it.
For my main image I used the flowers from the Softly Sophisticated stamp set which is part of a stamp and embossing folder bundle. This bundle is a free earn during Sale-A-Bration with a $180 order.
I die cut the image out using the Perennial Postage dies and matte it onto a large Boho Blue die cut. Behind this image I added a sprig of leaves from the Artistic dies. I cut the leaves apart so I could arrange them the way that suited the layout.
A strip of Boho Blue Cardstock behind the leaves was blended with Boho Blue ink to create a darker variegated tone.
On the base I added some Let’s go Fishing Designer Series Paper which has Boho Blue as well as some other blues which worked with the monochromatic theme.
To complete my card I added a vellum butterfly for a soft feature and embellished it with Boho Blue gems.

This theme is always a tricky one for me in the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge. What do you give the Bah Humbug in your life? I thought perhaps an Easter card! However, it is a Christmas cardmaking challenge and I’ve gone simplistic.
I chose the smallest tree I could find (no big pine trees for Mr. Scrooge), with a simple monochromatic colour scheme for this miserable soul! Each of the square layers has been embossed so the card isn’t too drab – just because I couldn’t help myself.
I chose a sentiment that is quite neutral with no reference to Christmas and die cut it with the Christmas Banners Dies. By adjusting the placement of the die I could make it a shorter height.
Thank you for stopping by to visit me. If you live in Australia, please contact me if you would like to order any of the products here. Take advantage of the fabulous ordering special which ends today. Check out the details below this image.

It’s great to have you stop by today. If you are following the hop, you will probably be coming from seeing Anastasia’s lovely project. If I’m your first stop, please go through all the blogs as we all have some great inspiration for this blog hop with an interesting theme of Green Monochromatic.
In Stampin’ Up! we are spoiled with the range of colours we have to work with and for this challenge there was an abundance of greens to choose from. This is the green palette I chose.Â
The first image I had was a ladies pretty dress and I chose the Wonderful Moments stamp set as it was one of the more recent sets I had got and I was keen to get it inked up.
I started off by stamping the little flowers from the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. This is a Sale-A-Bration stamp set which can be earned free with a $90 order.Â
I stamped the lady over the flowers as I felt this looked more natural than trying to stamp the flowers on top of the dress. I then coloured the dress with Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. For the final touch, I added some sparkle from the Wink of Stella brush all over the skirt. It just makes this skirt look so pretty and sparkly. My 16 year old daughter, Cassidy, saw it and said she’d love to wear a dress like this.
The Garden Lane Designer Series Paper was a late addition and I think it is perfect for this hop with all the green hues in it. I die cut the panels with the Stitched Rectangle dies. For the Whisper White embossed panel, I extended the die by partially die cutting and then turning and realigning to cut the rest of the panel. This gives me a longer panel than the actual die size.
The additional flowers are from one of my favourites in the Mini Catalogue – the Botanical Prints Product Medley. I coloured and die cut 2 of the bouquets, cutting one in sections to fit over the sentiment. This would make a lovely graduation card.
I hope you have been inspired by my card to try out some monochromatic projects and would love for you to leave me a comment. All products I have used on this card are listed at the bottom of this post. If you live in Australia and don’t have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, I would love the opportunity to help you along your creative journey.Â
