I’ve got a fun card using the This Birthday Piggy bundle for Day 16 of the Sketchtember Challenge. The dies in this bundle are part of the Stampin’ Up! Perfect Partners promotion and are only available while supplies last until 30th September. You will want to get these dies because they have some cute add ons to enhance your piggy images.
I was going for a fun look on this card and the Design a Daydream DSP provided the diffrent patterns to create the effect. This paper is a Host offering and you have the option to choose this with Stampin’ Rewards when your order is over $250 or your party sales reach $250.

I coloured the piggy image with Stampin’ Blends and added it to a Vellum die cut circle. Vellum provides a subtle contrast layer against the patterned DSP while not completely covering it.

When it comes to a bit of fussy cutting, I’m up for the challenge. As soon as I saw this bouquet in the Awash with Beauty Designer Series Paper, it cried out to be fussy cut. So with my Paper Snips I took to creating this focal image for my card inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
I used some Crumb Cake Cardstock scraps I had to create a border along the DSP panel.
I die cut some Vellum stems and coloured the back with an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend along with some die cut Mossy Meadow berries.
A heat embossed sentiment from the Ringed with Nature stamp set on Merry Merlot adds a nice contrast against the flowers. When you purchase the Ringed with Nature bundle you will automatically qualify for a free product from our Sale-A-Bration promotion.
To coordinate with the natural look of the Crumb Cake Cardstock I added some Linen Thread which I wrapped around my fingers 3 times to create a loop and tucked in under the bouquet with some Tear n’ Tape adhesive.

Day 10 of Martin’s Mayhem #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge is a sketch challenge. I drew inspiration from the snowflake picture on the sketch itself to create my card. We all know each snowflake is unique and my snowflakes today are one of a kind because they are Rainbow Glimmer snowflakes.
The Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper provided my background for this card. I used a sponge dauber to highlight the raised areas of the paper with Seaside Spray. This gave a subtle hint of colour to this beautiful paper.
I die cut a couple of snowflake clusters from Rainbow Glimmer paper and cut them apart to work with the sketch.
The sentiment was mounted on a frame from the Stitched so Sweetly dies. I embossed this with the Seabed embossing folder as I love the detail on this.
A few sequins add a bit of extra shine to this card to balance with the softness of the vellum background.
Friendship day is celebrated today and I am so very thankful for all my friends near and far, old and new. Stampin’ Up! has brought me a whole lot of new friends who I never would have met if it wasn’t for crafting. What a wonderful journey.
My card celebrates my gratitude for you, with the sentiment – I am thankful for YOU – which is from the Painted Harvest stamp set. The flower has been stamped in Stazon ink on vellum. I left this to dry. Then I turned it over and coloured it with Stampin’ Blends. This gives it a stained glass look. Then I attached the flower with the coloured side at the back. I used liquid glue along the black stamping so the glue can’t be seen through the vellum
Tip:
When applying adhesive to vellum, ensure it’s not visible at the front. Some ways to do this are:
Apply liquid glue in very fine dots along the black line (do this sparingly). This will only work if the image has a thicker border like this flower
Apply glue using a Stamping Sponge to the back of image. This will apply a thin layer and won’t leave visible marks on your image
If you add another layer, eg. sentiment, on top of the vellum, apply the adhesive to the area of vellum which gets covered by the sentiment

Thick Whisper White – 21 cm x 14.8 cm (scored in half)
Basic Black – 9.9 cm x 14.2 cm
Whisper White – 10.5 cm x 4.7 cm (for embossing) and scraps
Shaded Spruce scraps
DSP – 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm
Vellum – for flower
