What a fun challenge we have for our Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop this month. To be fair, I think I say that every month but… this month, it’s more in-house with us playing along to our team’s favourite colours.
If you are new to this hop, we are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators sharing our love for papercrafting on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. So sit back and enjoy your trip around the world.
Each of our team had to nominate our favourite colour and this is what our beautiful leader, Angie Mckenzie has put together. Don’t all the colours look so beautiful together?
So our project had to include at least three of these colours. We could choose from Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, Pale Papaya, Petal Pink, Rich Razzleberry, and Starry Sky.
Can you guess who picked which colour I picked?!? I’d have to guess too because I can’t remember! It would be a very close tie between Pool Party and Coastal Cabana and depending on my mood on the day it fluctuates. So I used them both on my project. In fact, I was able to incorporate quite a number while colouring this image.
I chose the In the Moment stamp set as today is International Women’s Day. This set has 3 images of women and is great for colouring in.
I started off by colouring the dress in Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends with some added detail using the Early Espresso Watercolour Pencil. The hat and belt were coloured in Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. The bench was coloured with some Natural Tone and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends with added details using Watercolour Pencils.
I die cut the image using the Stylish Shapes circle die then fussy cut around the girl. A second circle was die cut, on which I blended Pool Party ink with a Blending Brush. The image was then mounted on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I wanted to create a little beachy atmosphere on my card so I added the clouds and palm leaves which were die cut from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, Then I blended Bermuda Bay ink to add some gradation to it.
I used our new Irresistible Blooms stamp set to heat emboss the flower on Shimmery White Cardstock. Then I watercoloured it in Rich Razzleberry ink. I fussy cut the flower and layered it to create depth. This coordinated with my Rich Razzleberry wine glass coloured with Watercolour Pencils. I love being able to mix and match our various colouring mediums.

Oh what fun I’ve had creating this card using the cute Easter Bunny stamp set. I just got it in my latest Stampin’ Up! delivery and it’s the first time I’m playing with it.
I stamped the bunny in Sahara Sand and then coloured with Watercolor Pencils. For the body I used Crushed Curry with Early Espresso and Basic Gray adding some highlights and shadows. I added some Rich Razzleberry for a pink tint on her cheeks, ears and feet.
I stamped and coloured the left side of the body a second time. Fussy cutting and layering on top of the heart which had some Stampin’ Dimensionals under to pop it up, makes it look like the bunny is gifting a heart in keeping with our Love theme for the Global Design Project Challenge GDP379.
The soft floral Designer Series Paper added a lovely touch for this cute bunny card which uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches FMS571.
Although I’ve only used the stamp set for this card, this set also has a coordinating punch which you will want to order together to get the most out of this bundle and you also save 10% on the price. Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne. Today, I’m taking party in the Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop and we are showcasing products from our new Mini Catalogue which launched on the 5th of January.
Coming from a musical family, the Enjoy the Rhythm stamp set was a ‘must have’ for me. There are so many fun musical images which can be coloured in and matched with the range of sentiments. My favourite – Treblemaker!
I coloured the drum set in a range of Watercolour Pencils – Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray. I used the backing of the of the cling stamp as a mask, and stamped the stave of notes around the image in Bermuda Bay ink then blended Pale Papaya ink around the circle.
My colour palette has been inspired by the Colour Inkspiration colour challenge #135.
Some Pale Papaya ink was blended at the bottom of the card base to add depth. Around the tag I coloured the edge with the Calypso Coral Watercolour Pencil to create a simple border to coordinate.

When I saw this colour combo for a Christmas card, my first thought was, ‘what on earth’? Yet again, the #30DayChristmasCardMakingChallenge has me thinking outside the box and I’m really pleased with my final creation which uses my favourite Perched in a Tree bundle.
I coloured the bird with a combination of Stampin’ Blends and Watercolour Pencils as the pencils didn’t have a Petal Pink. This combination colouring came out really well and love how the bird turned out.
The sentiment was heat embossed in Gold and then I used the Aspen Dies to cut out the leaf. Those cute Gold Holly Leaves are discounted on our Last Chance list and you can get them for $5.30 (originally $13.25) while supplies last – bargain!

Hello and welcome to Day 27 of my Sketchtember Challenge. I’m creating with the Sweetest Cherries bundle which includes a stamp set and coordinating punch. The sentiments in this stamp set are bold and in a more handwritten style font which make for creating fun projects.
I created a vertical card which is not my norm as I felt the sketch was more to this style. So cut your Cardstock at 10.5 cm and score at 14.8 cm. The Gingham Cottage DSP is so versatile and I’ve been finding many uses for it with my projects of late.
The cherries were stamped in Real Red ink and then I added some extra shading with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Melon Mambo Watercolour Pencils. The leaves were punched from Mint Macaron Cardstockwhich I coloured with Old Olive and Coastal Cabana Watercolour Pencils to add shading and depth.
I’ve been using my Watercolour Pencils more and just love how easy it is to create shading with this colouring tool. They are at a low price point and you can get 2 assortments. I’ve got them in a cup style container right on my desk so I can easily access them any time which makes me use it even more.
