Welcome to the weekend friends, We’re kicking off our Saturday with Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop challenge. This week we are featuring Cajun Craze which is part of our Regals collection. I love this deep, rich colour and used it in a variety of ways on my card today using the Iconic Imagery bundle.
I started with 6 pieces of the Iconic Celebrations Designer Series Paper. These were slightly longer on one side and I arranged them evenly on an Early Espresso matte layer.
HOW TO CREATE CENTRE LABEL
Cut 1cm strips of Iconic Celebrations DSP
Adhere to Basic White Cardstock
Die cut with the label die
Emboss with Painted Texture Embossing Folder
Using a Blending Brush, go over the raised areas of the image with Early Espresso ink
Go around the outer edges of the die cut using a Blending Brush with Early Espresso and Crumb Cake ink
Die cut a label from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Cut this in half and adhere under the striped label to form a matte
I set out to use a Cajun Craze card base for my card base but found the colour a bit too deep for the look I was going for. Instead of changing my design, I decided to get creative with ink blending. By blending Petal Pink Cardstock with Cajun Craze ink, I achieved a lighter shade of Cajun Craze that perfectly complemented my card.
Once I had done this I needed another element that blended in with this tone so I die cut the large leaf from Petal Pink Cardstock and blended with Cajun Craze and Early Espresso ink. Around this I added several other stamped and die cut autumn leaves.
I cut apart the gold ribbon and added strands under the heat embossed sentiment to add a striking contrast against all the rich Cajun Craze elements.
I hopey you have enjoyed this creation and you can find a fully supply list at the bottom of this post. If you live in Australia, you can shop supplies in my Online Store or by getting in touch with me.
Have a lovely day.

I’m a bit of a Basic Gray fan as I tend to use it when I want a softer alternate to Black. For today’s Crafty Collaborations Insta Hop I went with a CAS card – Clean and Simple and used the Frosted Forest bundle to create it.
I die cut 3 rectangles from the Deckled Rectangles dies to create equal panels across the front. These were embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder – a new product available in our September-December Mini Catalogue. This is one of my must-haves as it’s so versatile. I added it to a Basic Gray panel.
Then I die cut the trees from the Frosted Forest dies. This bundle has a stamp and die set and layering stencils to create beautifully shaded trees, although I used an auxiliary die for this card.
I blended Basic Gray and Tuxedo Black on the image to create an ombre colouring. I added some splatters with a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend and as the the splatters fell, it almost looked like leaves falling off the tree.
I’ve heat embossed a sentiment from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set and added some silver metallic gems to complete this simple and elegant card.
Today is the last day to purchase these Designer Series Papers at a 15% discount. Shop online or contact me to place an order.

Hello friends, Welcome to our CASEing the Catty Challenge and for CTC484. Today we get to CASE anything from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. Well, you know when the there is such a large selection, it’s harder to make a choice!
I really loved the ‘You inspire me’ square card on Page 74 of the catalogue. There are so many elements in this card to be inspired by such as the background stamping, layout or square card.
What I really loved in this card was the colour palette so I selected these colours for my card.
I flipped the colours around a bit, making Summer Splash the predominant colour. The matte layer was embossed with the Changing Leaves hybrid embossing folder and I added some ink blending over it in Summer Splash to highlight some of those embossed leaves.
The leaves were stamped on Fluid 100 Watercolour Cardstock. I stamped 2 leaves in Saddle Brown Stazon ink and watercoloured them in Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Wild Wheat using ink refills.
The larger leaf was stamped in Calypso Coral onto Fluid 100 Cardstock. Then I added some Calypso Coral and Wild Wheat onto the stamp using a Water Painter. As the stamp set is photopolymer, I was able to align the image over the previously stamped image. The slight dampness which was on the Water Painter was sufficient to create movement on the ink and create some areas of deeper colour.
Some glimmer die cut sprigs from the Flowers of Beauty Dies were added inbetween the watercoloured leaves and placed on a die cut circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies. I added some tone-on-tone shading with Petal Pink around the circle.
A heat embossed sentiment on black and some Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments (from the upcoming catalogue) complete this card.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to try some of these techniques. Please leave a comment as you follow through to see Monique Fielder’s project.

Hello friends, Welcome to our CASEing the Catty Challenge and this week we are CASEing an embossing ptoject from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue. Embossing could be heat embossing or dry embossing and I’ve gone with a bit of both for CTC480.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO CASE?
To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit and when you CASE you can be copy the project directly or be inspired by elements of it to make it your own.
I loved this project from Page 103 of the catalogue which uses the Sweet Peas stamp set and includes some heat embossing and CASEd the sketch for my card.
Following with the heat embossing on the original card I used the sprigs from the Heartfelt Hexagon and Layering Leaves stamp sets to heat emboss on the background of the Lemon Lolly layer. Then I blended Lemon Lolly ink over the top section of the panel.
For an additional embossing feature, I added a panel of Lemon Lolly Cardstock embossed with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder.
I used the flowers from the Labeled with Love stamp set for my focal image. A small butterfly from the Something for Everything Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, was coloured in and fussy cut. These images from the Ephemera Packs are ready to pop out and add to your projects. As I didn’t want a border around mine, I fussy cut around it.
The sentiment was heat embossed on the Unbounded Beauty DSP to follow the look and layout of the original card.
Our Bonus Days promotion runs until 31st July and with every $90 you spend in store will earn you a $9 coupon. These coupons can be redeemed in August. Shopping List for this project can be found at the end of this post.
Thank you for stopping by to see my inspiration this Sunday. I hope you are inspired to try some embossing for some pretty texture to your cards. Click on the Next button to see Andrea Sargent’s beautiful project. Please follow the hop for lots more creativity.

For the Caseing a Catty Sunday Challenge. CTC466 challenge was to CASE our favourite mini catalogue project. It’s always hard to pick one. So I chose my favourite suite from the January – April mini and picked one of the projects from it.
The Rock & Roll suite had me from the minute I opened the catalogue. Gravitating to any music related product it was immediately ‘Add to Cart’. I’ve CASED the layout of this project from Page 54 of the Mini Catalogue using the Latte Love bundle.
I started with the cup which was stamped in Early Espresso and coloured with Stampin’ Blends. To follow the sketch with the 2 guitars, I also added the perculator.
I added a piece of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper behind the images and offset it with Early Espresso Cardstock. For the narrow strip at the back, I stamped the coffee beans in Misty Moonlight and blended the White Cardsttock with Misty Moonlight and Pecan Pie ink.
On the base I added an extra layer of Cardstock. This was stamped with the coffee stains and then embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Then I blended Misty Moonlight ink around the piece to create some depth against the card base.
The sentiment has been die cut with a label die from the Unbounded Love dies which is one of my must-haves from the new catalogue.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead.

I’ve created a card for the Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge where this week’s challenge was to CASE our favourite retiring punch project from either the 2023-2024 Annual or 2024 Jan-April Mini Catalogue.
I’ve chosen this card from Page 53 of our Annual Catalogue which features the Little Monkey punch. I have CASEd the sketch of the card, flipping it for a portrait layout. I’ve mixed some old and new products using the outgoing Earthen Textures and new Country Flowers bundles for the focal image.
The dainty oval at the back of the vase is from the Unbounded Beauty dies which is another new product. I die cut this from Textured Shimmer Cardstock which I blended with Bubble Bath ink. This specialty paper is my favourite and I’m sad to see it go. You can get a pack during our Last Chance sale for just $8.75 (reduced from $17.50).
On the oval I stamped the script image from the Gorgeously Made stamp set. Although this is very faint, it gives a lovely mottled image on this piece.
I embellished the sentiment with a Smoky Slate border, die cut using part of the birdhouse from the Country Birdhouse dies.
You can shop the products used to create this card in my Online Store. New products will be available on 1st May or you can add it to a Starter Kit today. The Little Monkey stamp and punch has been discounted during our Last Chance SALE which ends 30th April.
