Impressions Abloom – Framed Bouquet Card

I created this card for my Card Creations Series this month featuring the Floral Impressions Suite. I’ve focused on the Impressions Abloom Bundle in the suite to arrange a bouquet. Framing it creates a really beautiful focal feautre and draws the eye to the pretty flowers.

I’ve used 4 of the new In-Colors in my card. This Live class was fun as I created on the fly and added elements as I went along. If you haven’t joined me for one of my classes, visit me on FB or YouTube and come chat with me during a class. I love the interaction with everyone.

I started by stamping and die cutting the flowers in Darling Duckling on Very Vanilla and adding the centres in Timid Tiger. For someone who most times uses White, I loved the look of adding Very Vanilla to this card and it looked great with Strawberry Slush.

Around the flowers I added some long leaf stems die cut from the Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper. Some smallers leaves in Very Vanilla filled in the gaps.

All my elements were added to a hexagon die cut from Secret Sea Cardstock. The Bee Mine Dies have nesting hexagons which graduate to quite large sizes making it suitable for scrapbook pages too. What I love is that the dies cut out the centre and a frame at the same time so while I’ve got a frame for this card, I’ve also got a die cut shape I can use on another project.

The matte layer of Strawberry Slush was embossed with the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder which is part of this suite. This folder provides a subtle and detailed background at the same time. I added some splatters with Craft White ink to soften the contrast of the base and the lighter coloured elements in the foreground. A strip of Gold Trim and some gems complete this card.
