I love the look of poinsettias and they make me feel all ‘Christmasy’ – not long to go now. The Peaceful Poinsettia bundle has varying stamps and dies and on todays card I have used only the dies and teamed it with the Merry Christmas to all bundle. This bundle is versatile with tons of greetings which can be swapped around and dies to mix and match like I have done here.

For the poinsettia, I die cut the flower but instead of taking all the pieces out, I left them in. It tends to stay in it’s place until pressed out with a Big Shot Die Brush so you’re pretty safe. I would recommend you put a piece of Double Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back of the cardstock before die cutting. This was a project that evolved when I die cut the flower. I liked how it looked with all the die cut pieces in so I just had to use liquid glue and that was a bit tricky. So hopefully this tip helps you. This needs to be attached to a whole base flower then mounted onto the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Gold Metallic pearls have been added to the centre. These pearls are a lovely muted gold so they tone in well.

The Designer Series Paper is from All is Bright and has photography on one side and designs on the other.  One banner has been punched from DSP and the other from Crumb Cake Cardstock and embossed with the Subtle Embossing folder. This folder gives a very fine impression but adds beautiful texture. It reminds me of linen.

With the sentiment, which is from the Merry Christmas to All bundle,  I find it easier to stamp the border first and then fit it the sentiment.

Hope you are enjoying the projects from the new catalogue. If you would like a copy or want to learn more, please contact me.
