Welcome to the weekend and to this week’s Crafty Collaborations Monochromatic Insta Hop theme with Granny Apple Green as our featured colour.
I was inspired by some home decor I saw and created a bit of a funky background with the pot from the Planted Paradise stamp set. This is a Reversible stamp set which means that one side of the stamp has one image and you flip the stamp over to reveal another image.
I used the Stamparatus (retired) to stamp the black pot a few times. Any stamp positioning tool would work and enables you to get a nice dark image. I flipped the stamp over and inked up in Granny Apple Green ink, then spritzed the stamp before stamping the image. This gave the image a lovely watercoloured look.
I drew some lines with the Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend using a ruler as a guide. Starting off with the bullet tip I felt it needed some wider stripes so I freehanded the thicker stripes with a brush end of the Blend. This was totally out of character for me as I love straight, neat lines. However, I loved the look of these and will probably be trying this again for some custom backgrounds.
Foliage from the Flowers of Beauty dies provides a simple focal point against the different textures and patterns on the card.
