Hi friends, Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday Blog Hop. It seems that this month has come around extra quick!

We are a group of crafters who blog hop on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. At the time our blog hop goes live, it is Wednesday in each of the Time Zones we are in. Each of us will be focusing on our favourite month so make sure you take a squiz around at all the beautiful projects.

For me, it’s the most wonderful time of the year – Christmas. Although I like to stretch Christmas for as long as possible – November through to January, I’ll pick December with Christmas celebrations being in full swing, for my favourite month. . I love the carols, services, decorations, baking, fragrances, choosing gifts and of course crafting that makes this month so anticipated in our home.

The card I created is A5 size as I wanted to have space around the frame. Being a larger card, I would probably give this to a family member or special friend. Each year I make a batch of extra special cards for those near and dear to me.

I started by stamping the Festive Foliage stamp in Versamark and heat embossing in Gold. I die cut this with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. Then I cut 2 pieces of Brushed Metallic Cardstock which were larger than the stamped image. As there wasn’t a larger die, I used my Trimmer to do this. From these 2 pieces, I cut out a frame with a smaller Stitched Rectangle Die.
A combination of Stampin’ Blends were used to colour the image which was then mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto one of the frames. On the back of the other frame, I added Foam Adhesive Strips and mounted on top of the stamped image.

To create the bow, I cut the Soft Succulent ribbon in half, pulled some threads from the Evening Evergreen Ribbon and combined this with the gold trim to make a double bow.

Next on our hop is the lovely Cheryll Miller. Please click on the Next button to view her amazing project.
