Caseing the Catty Challenge CTC544 – Embossing Folder Project
Hello and welcome to Caseing the Catty Challenge CTC544. Our crew are Caseing an embossing folder project from either the Stampin’ Up! Annual or Mini Catalogue. Embossing Folders are one of my favourite tools and if you go through my projects, you will see that I use them on nearly all of them. I love the texture and that it is so easy to achieve with just a pass through a die cutting machine. It is a simple technique which gives a WOW result every single time.
To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit a project. This can be a direct copy or you can put your own spin on it. I have CASEd this card on Page 83 of the Stampin’ Up! 2025-2026 Annual Catalogue which uses the Silly Safari bundle.
I loved the sketch and the colour palette so I took inspiration from it all and created a Christmas card using the Pine Tree Trimmings Bundle. On the base I added an extra layer of Coastal Cabana and embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.
The tree was stamped in Old Olive on Old Olive Cardstock and I added the string of baubles which were coloured with Crushed Curry ink using a Wink of Stella brush. I added a second die cut tree from the Modern Christmas Designer Series Paper Designer Series Paper which brought in the black and white colouring of the zebra which was on the original card.
I wanted a little more Crushed Curry so I got a strip of the Turtle-y Awesome DSP and added it under trees which made everything just pop. A Linen Thread bow and some Hexagon Gems complete this card.
