Caseing the Catty CTC509 – Floral Delight Suite

As we welcome a new week, it’s time for the new Caseing the Catty Challenge blog hop. For CTC509 the Crew are CASEing a project from the Floral Delight Suite in the Stampin’ Up! 2025 January – April Mini Catalogue.

My initial decision was to pick some of the colours from the suite, which I did and then I also followed a sketch of one of the cards from Page 33.

I’ve used the Framed Scenes bundle which is a new Online Exclusive product to be launched on the 4th of March. Demonstrators get to pre-order these products a month earlier and I love this perk which gets these products to us early and we get a chance to play with them. This bundle has 5 cute mini scenes and die frames. There even some wood detailing which make this so quaint.

I coloured the image with a combination of Stampin’ Blends and Watercolour Pencils which helps to achieve brighter and softer shades .Then I blended some ink around the background with Pool Party and Balmy Blue.

The centre panel that the oval sits on is a piece of Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper which I embossed with the Plaster Painting Embossing Folder. With the design on the paper, this creates even more texture.

I used a ready made sentiment from the Greetings for All Ephemera Pack. This is an essential in your craft room as it makes it easy to complete a card.

Some faux bows were added under the scene to replicate the sketch. To create these, just form a figure 8 with your ribbon and add to your card with glue dots. The Neutral Matte Dots will also be launching on the 4th. They are just gorgeous and I’m thinking these might be a new favourite of mine!

The banners on the top were created from the Wood Frame in the Framed Scenes bundle. When I added these I felt it needed something to pull it together and another bow just didn’t quite work. So I pulled out the Spring Celebrations Ephemera Pack I used a leftover piece of a die cut. Generally, this would have been thrown away but I had it and it worked perfectly for this. I added another part of it to the bows to coordinate the look.

I hope you have been inspired with this project and will consider adding the Framed Scenes bundle to your next order. Please us in this challenge but submitting your project to our FB group. Next on our hop is Kathryn Mangelsdorf. Make sure to visit all our team for some fabulous inspiration.
