While we are in the middle of Melbourne’s winter, I’m sure many of you are hanging out for warm weather. I for one, don’t cope too well in the heat however I love this Tropical Escape suite.  The colours are fun, green and lush and interspersed with some chic black. I really like the dies which cut out the leaves in the Designer Series Paper.

I’m sharing 3 cards with you today using this suite. I think the different elements are just so beautiful and these cards show you some parts of it.

In this first card, the square leaf cut-out die has been used as a frame. I die cut some extra leaves and added the cute flower to create a quick card.

This die could be combined with a window sheet to create a shaker card. Alternatively, die cut the front of the card and put some Designer Series Paper on the inside to create added interest.

This next card uses the same square die to emboss the centre panel, The embossing mats are used to achieve this effect. If you have a Big Shot machine, you will really love the embossing mats as they will give you an alternate use for your dies. This will make you think of so many creative uses for your dies – even the simple layering ones.

Here I combined the Tropical Escape bundle with the Fabulous Flamingo Stamp set. The palm leaves coordinate nicely and the flamingo looks at home among the greenery. The colours I used for the flamingo were Lovely Lipstick and wait for it …. Flirty Flamingo.

The leaves on the Designer Series Paper fit the die so you have that option as well as stamping and die cutting.
