Hi Friends,
Welcome to my blog- Stamping Flair. Today, I am participating in a blog hop with other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from the Facebook Group ESAD (Extra Special Australasian Demonstrators). We are highlighting some of the retiring products from the Annual and Occasions Catalogues and bidding them a fond farewell. You are going to find lots of inspiration as you hop along with us.
My chosen stamp set is Tuscan Vineyard which has been a favourite of mine.I love the beautiful scene depicted in this set and the accompanying images that carry the Mediterranean theme.
I started off with a piece of Glossy White cardstock and applied a wash with 2 of our retiring In-Colours – Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide. Once this dried, I stamped the swirl border in Fresh Fig. Then I used the swirl image from another of my favourite stamp sets – Timeless Textures, inked up sections of it with Versamark and heat embossed in gold to create a luxurious feel.Timeless Textures has been well used in my craft room and I love the various textures and distressed looks this stamp set offers.
The images from Tuscan Vineyard have been coloured with several Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut. These combine to create a lovely focal element on the card. I layered all these together on a piece of Basic Black cardstock which has been embossed with one of the Petal Pair embossing folders. You get 2 in this set – one floral and one with leaves of which I chose the folder with leaves as it reminded me of vines.
The Crumb Cake die cut at the back has been a favourite die of mine from the Eclectic Layers Dies. It cuts the image into the cardstock but for this card I cut around it so it could add texture against all those elements.
Hope this inspires you to work with some of these beautiful retiring products which for me, will always be on my favourites list.
