Hello and welcome to our final New at SU blog hop for 2023. We have got a unique challenge this month. All our projects are focusing on Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake as a colour combo. We could add an extra colour if we liked and I chose Pecan Pie as my third colour which gave me an extra neutral colour to work with.

I’ve used the Gorgeouly Made bundle and I used just about every stamp set in there (bar a couple of sentiments). I stamped the leaves in both first and second generation Crumb Cake and added some horizontal stripes in Pecan Pie.

The focal leaf was die cut 4 times from Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then I added some ink blending in Crumb Cake to give it some shading (it does look like Pecan Pie but I promise it was Crumb Cake!).

To create the circle, I die cut a leaf from Very Vanilla Cardstock, adhered it to another piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock and then die cut the circle from it. This gave it a lovely textured look.

Ideally, I would have liked the sentiment to have been stamped directly onto the back panel but…I stuffed up and the stamp moved and it was a momentary disaster. So I had to put into action Plan B and cover up my mess with a die cut sentiment label! So some improvisation was required and I think it turned out ok.
