Hi friend, Welcome to our monthly New at SU Blog Hop. We are working with our favourite suite this month and I’ve got a fun heat embossing technique to share with you.
As always, choosing one favourite can be hard but I’ve gone with the You’re a Peach Suite as I just love the colour palette of the Designer Series Paper. Take a look at these beautiful products. Aren’t those mini jam jars so cute?
The Sweet as a Peach stamp set, being a Distinktive stamp set is great for all levels of crafters. It offers variation in shading when you stamp an image without having to add any extra colour.
To create the orange peel effect on my peach, I first inked it in Pale Papaya and went around the edges with Magenta Madness using a sponge dauber. This was stamped on Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. Then I spritzed it so that the colours blended. After leaving it to dry for a few minutes, I inked up the peach in Versamark, added Clear Embossing Powder and ran my heat gun over it. This created a lovely stippled shine over the fruit.
The sentiment has been inked up in Versamark and immediately in Crumb Cake before heat embossing with Clear Embossing Powder. A few splatters were created with the brush of the Crumb Cake Marker against the cap.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you have been inspired to try out the You’re a Peach Suite. Next on our hop is Brenda Copper.
