Summertime Florals is our theme for this month’s Stampers Showcase Blog Hop featuring our beautiful new floral stamp sets from the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue.
The Artistically Inked bundle is part of a stunning suite which includes coordinating Specialty Designer Series Paper and an Ephemera Pack. I created my card with the smaller flower in this set, with a different colour palette giving it a vintage look.
Our stamp positioning tool, the Stamparatus came in very handy to stamp these flowers. I started by inking the entire flower in Blushing Bride and stamping. Then I added highlights with Flirty Flamingo and Merry Merlot Stampin’ Write Markers, stamping after each addition of colour. For the darker flowers I added Merry Merlot with a sponge dauber along with the Markers.
The leaf sprigs were die cut from Basic White cardstock and then sponged in Soft Succulent, Pear Pizzazz and Merry Merlot to give a variegated look.
The Basic White panel was stamped with leaves from the Forever Fern stamp set. Then I added some embossing paste using a mask. This week my featured product is our Decorative Masks. These are a low cost product that gives you many options for layering and adding texture to your projects.
I used the Stamparatus for the sentiment so I could re-stamp to get a nice depth of colour. Stamping it 3 times over gave me a rich colour.

Class in the Mail provides a pre-designed papercrafting class for you and is suitable for beginners through to avid crafters. You get 8 card kits with 2 each of 4 designs. Each design is packed separately and your kit will contain card bases, envelopes, all cardstock and any die cuts which don’t require pre-stamping.
Each class comes with ample supplies to make all the projects plus heaps more should you want to make more cards or add extras to your projects. The PDF tutorial is given as a guide however you can go ahead and create your own designs.
To complete the class as per my samples you will need the Color & Contour stamp set as well as some other products which I will include below. The Scalloped Contour Die set is not required however I do recommend this as an option as the nested scalloped rectangles are a great addition to your crafting tools plus it saves you 10% when you buy it as a bundle.
Plus when you purchase the bundle, you get the Class Kit free so that’s a huge saving.
*The stamp set is required to complete the class as per my samples. You can however, choose to use other products you may have. Stamped images are not included in the kit.

Colour & Contour Bundle (stamps and dies) & FREE Class Kit
Hi, Welcome to Stamping Flair in Melbourne. Today we’re enjoying some lovely sunshine in the middle of winter and it’s a long weekend. So even better! Our Colour Combo this month has one of our new In-Colours – Polished Pink, so I have made it the main colour in my card.
I’ve been having so much fun with the Color & Contour bundle. The stamp set has pretty line images and the accompanying dies cut out the flowers. However, the pick of those dies is the nested scallop rectangles. So many uses and I just can’t get enough of them.
For this card I heat embossed the flowers in white on Basic White cardstock then applied Polished Pink ink using a Blending Brush. I rubbed back over the flowers with a tissue to bring out the white embossing.
The label from the Dandy Laser Cut Paper has been embossed with a new favourite product of mine – the Checks and Dots Embossing Folders. Then I individually coloured each dot with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend.
Now where is that Poppy Parade? I added some in the centre of the die cut flower and blended it out to the petals with the Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends.
If there’s a stamp sentiment you need to get for sentiments, it’s the Biggest Wish stamp set. Great large sentiments that can be mixed to form different combinations. At $30 it’s a stamp set that will be used many times over …. and that’s just the birthday greeting.
