True Beauty Caseing the Catty Sunday Challenge ctc377
For this week’s challenge we are Caseing the July-December Sale-A-Bration Catalogue. For my card I’m CASEing the Ringed with Nature card on the bottom left of Page 6. Firstly, I chose the colours and I also copied the sketch. This sketch is a basic sketch and you can see that there is another card on the same page of the catalogue using the same products and sketch.
I started off with a Deckled Rectangle and blended Night of Navy ink across. Then I die cut the lattice background from Basic White Cardstock. Leaving the die in place, I blended Crushed Curry through the die. This gave me the inlays which I was able to add to my ink-blended rectangle.
The flowers were inked up in Balmy Blue and Night of Navy and then spritzed and stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock for a watercoloured look. I did the same with the leaves in Mint Macaron.
On top of my card base I added a Basic White layer which I blended with Night of Navy ink. More colour was added in the centre and then lightened as it spread outwards. I love the varied tones that can be achieved with this technique using just one colour.
