New at SU Blog Hop – Double Flap Envelope Fun Fold Birthday Card
If you love fun fold cards, otherwise known as fancy fold cards, our New at SU team have got lots of inspiration for you today. This month, our blog hop features easy fun fold cards. Interactive elements, fun openings, surprise reveals are little details that make these type of cards so special. While there are extravagant fancy folds, I particularly love easy fancy folds – the type that doesn’t stress one out!
For this hop I have recreated a card I received as a swap at this year’s OnStage event in Sydney from Rhonda Laity who is a demonstrator friend. I had not seen a Double Envelope Flap card before andthought it was such a sweet fold. Check out my video to see Rhonda’s card.
This fold is perfect for showing off your Designer Series Paper. I pulled out some of the textured Velvet Meadow DSP to decorate my card and also added some Everyday Essentials Mix & Match DSP. This is a very quick card to make and the DSP takes care of the main decorative part.
I kept the focal element quite simple and added minimal decorative elements inside the card. There are several panels on this card and you could decorate as many of these as you wish. It all depends on how much you would like to add to your project.
