Watercoloured Elegant Leaves Birthday Card

For this card, I’ve used the Elegant Leaves Bundle to create a colourful cluster of leaves with a watercolouring technique. I love how with this technique you can get different colours and patterns on each leaf.

For the focal point, I die cut the leaves from Fluid 100 Cardstock. Then I applied colour with a Clear Block which was inked up and spritzed with water. This is a simple and quick way to create a watercoloured look to your images. I shared this technique over the past weekend with a group of fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators at our Connect, Craft & Share event in Bendigo and they loved it.

For an extra detail, I used the Reverse Hot Foil Die with leftover foil from the Echoes of Detail Hot Foil Dies. This is a great way to use up those leftover pieces of foil and add another element to your design.

I’ve kept the background clean with a panel which has been embossed with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder. A length of jute tied in a bow adds some natural texture and some coordinating sequins complete this card.
