Happy Mother’s Day to all you wonderful ladies who are caring for your God-given treasures, to those who are in a position of caring for children – step-mums, guardians, to dads – who have to step in as mum and to everyone of you who share the load. It’s a very special day to honour a very special Mum in our lives. So for our Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop I created a Mother’s Day card using our Floral theme.
There are an endless amount of options when it comes to Floral and the variety that Stampin’ Up! offers.
The hibiscus from the Timeless Tropical stamp set is a pretty image to colour. I stamped 2 of these and coloured with Light Flirty Flamingo and Light and Dark Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends, Then I cut along the petal lines of one flower, curling the petals with a bone folder. This flower was attached to the other to create a 3D flower.
With such a pretty flower, I wanted my background structured and simple. I die cut several labels from the Hand Penned DSP and arranged it to the card. This created an interesting background for my flower.
I hope you enjoy your Mother’s Day with your family and getting spoiled! Thank you for spending some time with me on this special day and I hope to see you again soon. Please click on the Next button to see Satomi Wellard’s lovely project.
