Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop – Lifetime Celebrations

Hi friend, Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Our theme this month at the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop is Lifetime Celebrations. When you see my card you are going to wonder what I was thinking! Stick with me!

This is a remembrance of good times back in Sri Lanka with my mum, dad and my sister who are no longer with me. Home was always a place, bringing people together to fellowship and share in friendship. Special celebrations brought together a house full of people to share the joy, partake in good food, sing and have lots of laughter and fun.

This also brings to mind my birthdays, when I used to have my school friends over. Today, I remember a friend of mine, Ashanthi who celebrates her birthday in the U.S. and I haven’t seen her in 35 years. I miss her a lot.

I went to town on the free Sale-A-Bration products on this card, using 3 of them. The Feels Like Home stamp set, Textures and Frames stamp set and Beautifully Penned DSP. Sale-A-Bration runs until 30th September and you can get a free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue with an order over $90.

My colour palette was minimal but adding several layers and textures adds dimension interest to this card.
