Sunset Coast Retirement Card
The Sunset Coast Bundle has been on my Wish List for quite some time and just last week I received it in an order. It’s got beautiful nautical images and lots of sentiments. Some of the dies are framed images and for today’s card I took apart the frame to use the image separately.
The lighthouse image was just so cute with the little hut beside it. The image was die cut from Basic White Cardstock and water coloured. Make sure you watch my process video linked at the bottom of this blog post for all my tips on creating this card.
I’ve followed the sketch at Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC388. Sketches always make it easy to start a design.
The little fence die cut adds such lovely texture and is so cute. All the elements were added onto a tag from the Classic Labels Mix & Match Ephemera.
Instead of my regular embossed background, I’ve added texture with Embossing Paste. Adding a few drops of Hydrangea Hue ink refill gave it such a beautiful blue shade which really blended well with the rest of the card. The entire scene seemed to really encourage relaxation and rest and the ‘Happy Retirement’ sentiment fit perfectly.
