Caseing the Catty Challenge CTC569 – 2026 May-August Catalogue
Today I’m taking part in the Caseing the Catty Challenge crew blog hop. Our theme for CTC569 is to Case the new May-August Stampin’ Up! Catalogue which launched on 5th May. To CASE is to Copy and Selectively Edit a project, copying it directly or adding your own changes and style to it.
I’ve CASED this card featuring the Waterside Retreat Suite on Page 21 of the catalogue with the simple, trimmed down front of the card revealing a small panel of Designer Series Paper inside.
I’ve used the Valley in Bloom Suite to recreate this card with a Soft Sea Foam card base. The panel of Designer Series Paper was blended with Lemon Lime Twist ink with a smaller panel of check DSP added to the inside. These were layered onto Pretty Peacock Cardstock matte layers.
The flowers were coloured in a combination of Light Blackberry Bliss, Light Berry Burst and Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends. Once I die cut it, I coloured the white around the entire die cut with the Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend so it blended more seamlessly with the background.
The leaves were stamped in Coastal Cabana then I stamped the inside with Coastal Cabana, stamped off. I repeated the stamping inside with Lemon Lime Twist, stamped off to give a beautiful two-tone look.
That, (what I call), criss-cross element is a gorgeous little die in this set and adds such beautiful detail. A heat embossed sentiment and some Shimmer Dots put the finishing touch to this card.
