Stamp ‘n Hop – It’s all about the Males

Hi, We’re starting off this weekend with inspiration from our Stamp ‘n Hop blog hop. Our projects are going to be geared for the guys. With Father’s Day less than a month away, on 5th September, this is a great opportunity to get lots of inspiration.

I chose the stamp set from the You are my Anchor Kit as my inspiration for this card. This all inclusive craft kit creates 10 mini cards and 4 boxes. The kit is $33 and comes with it’s own stamp set, ink spot, clear block, die cuts, adhesive and embellishments.

Kits offer great value including a stamp set which you can use on other projects. Our stamp sets are on average around $30 so for $33 you get the stamp set plus all the other products. We have several kits on offer which you can browse through online.

The cloud from After the Storm stamp set were stamped in Craft ink for a night sky look. Then I stamped the clouds in Basic Gray on the White cardstock to carry through the look.

I heat embossed the lighthouse in White on Red cardsttock. This was fussy cut. The anchor and life buoy were die cuts included in the kit. I coloured the life buoy in Real Red Stampin’ Blends over the original Poppy Parade. I find that sometimes it’s hard to embellish masculine cards so I added some baker’s twine on the lifebuoy to create a natural look and add texture.

I think my favourite part of this card is the border with all the nautical images. These small images are great to add detail or even create fun backgrounds.
