New at SU Blog Hop – Creating In Color 2026-2028
Welcome to the New at SU Blog Hop. Our theme this month is the 2026-2026 In Colors of Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Golden Glow, Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine.
I’ve created a scrapbook page using the Extraordinary Life bundle, Artisan Sketched Garden DSP and Bloom Boutique DSP. The Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper includes all the new In Colors, and the Hydrangea Hue sheets looked so pretty on this page.
The Extraordinary Life bundle is one of my favourites in this catalogue as it has such lovely detailed elements to accent projects. As I put this page together I wanted to created different clusters of interest that combined all these products.
I watercoloured the fussy cut images from the Artisan Sketch Garden Designer Series Paper to coordinate with my project. This gave the colours a lovely softer look. When working with Water Painters on DSP, lightly work with the colours so as not to saturate the paper.
Among the clusters, I also added some of the die cuts from the Floral Flight Accents. This is a great little pack of black die cuts which has flowers, foliage, hears and butterflies. I mounted some of these images onto ink blended cardstock to give it another look, adding colour to them.
Incorporating the images and die cuts from the Extraordinary Life Bundle adds texture and depth to the little arrangements. I’ve made sure that any elements over the photo place holders are not fully attached so that I can just pull them back when I need to add my photos.
